The post-survey results showed that the communication from the experienced nurse leader led to a better understanding of each person’s role within the trauma team (Clements, Curtis, Horvat, & Shaban, 2015). Having an experienced nurse leader in charge of the trauma team would allow for faster decision making in a stressful environment.
