My name is Amal, and I live in Haifa. I have two lovely sons.

I enjoy learning new things—what I like to call being a life-long learner—not just academically, but in various areas of interest. For instance, I learned how to bake bread using different types of flour, and I constantly educate myself about plants so that I can take good care of my own. Gardening is a true passion of mine, and I treat my flowers, plants, and trees with a lot of love and care.

In my classes, I like to incorporate technology as long as it aligns with my lesson objectives. Technology can be incredibly helpful if we know how and when to use it effectively.

My name is Eden, I’m 23 years old and from Tirat Carmel. (For those who don’t know - it’s next to Haifa)

In my free time I like to work out and hang out with my friends and family. In my opinion the use of technology in the English classroom can be highly beneficial, offering new ways to engage students and enhance learning. When used thoughtfully, it can supplement traditional teaching methods and help students to have better connect with the material.

In my opinion, incorporation technology in class is very important as the world evolves that we change ourselves accordingly. Nowadays, technology is an inseparable part of our lives and especially students. As long as it is helping me and the students to learn and grow, I am for using technology in class, and think it is a very helpful and strong tool!

My name is Naama Halaf. I am 32 years old and have lived with my parents in Oshrat for the past 10 years. I have two older brothers, a nephew, a niece, and a dog.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books and manga, cooking whenever possible, and climbing with friends and my older brother.

Using a wall can enhance the learning experience. Here are some practical ways to incorporate it:

Engaging Vocabulary and Grammar Exercises: Involve students in hands-on activities that enhance their understanding of key concepts. 

Collaborative Writing Projects: Allow students to work in tandem and edit their contributions in real-time. 

Diverse Multimedia Educational Resources: Integrate videos and audio materials to create a more dynamic learning experience.

I'm Gil, I'm 27 and I live in Haifa with my husband and 2 cats.

I love reading, daydreaming, and occasionally I play DND and other board games with friends and family.

In the English class, I think using a lot of memory-related methods of teaching, like singing and talking, is very effective.

I remember that when I was in 5th grade, we had to make a white board with facts about an actor or actress that we admired at the time and present it to the class (I chose Haley Joel Osment, I had a huge crush on him).

It was a very fun project, and talking in front of the class really helps in practicing English (although it's a little stressing).

Nowadays, the students can make a powerpoint (or other platforms) presentation and present it on the big screen instead of on a white board. That way, the use of technology still lets them the space of being creative and unique.

My name is Aseel Masri, and I am 23 years old. I live in Haifa, but I am originally from Nahef village (It's next to Karmiel if you don't know). I enjoy drinking coffee (actually, all kinds of coffee). I love working out and doing outdoor activities. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family.

I think integrating Technology into English lessons allows the pupils to engage more in it without being distracted, and it's also a very fun way to learn a language while enjoying it.

My name is Sveta, I’m 43, came to Israel from Russia 2 years ago and immidiately fall in love with this beautiful country and its beautiful people.

My previouse «Russian» life was also connected with education - I used to write scripts for  educational TV-shows and animated series.

We worked in the genre of edutainment, that is education plus entertainment. In each project, we tried to find a way to make science interesting and accessible even for the youngest.

From my perspective, the use of morden technology in the English classroom has the same purpose: entertain by educating and educate by entertaining.

I love nature and I was a volunteer in some projects.

Climbing a high mountain some years ago and being lost for a while, I realised how important for people to be with other people and create friendly ,caring relathionship in a family,with your neighbours and friends,in your country and in the whole world ,though sometimes it is easier to climb Elbrus or even Everest than to do that.

And in my class as a teacher I try to create friendly,cooperating atmosphere among students and try to develop sociall skills.'To

work in tandem ',as Naama says.

And Padlet is a great opportunity for students to know better their classmates and share their own interests with others .

So nice meeting all of you. I am originally from Canada, grew up there, and made aliyah in my early 20s. Often people ask me why I moved here - I am deeply connected and love living in this beautiful disaster of a country. I have three little children (aged 4, 3 and 2) and a wonderful husband. I love dancing, have been dancing all of my life and did a masters in movement therapy. Dance and movement is my happy place and helps me refuel. I also love meeting new people and networking and teaching English. Looking forward to learning and familiarizing myself with more tech tools to make my teaching more relevant to my students!

I’m Yair Oren, 47 years old, living in Petach Tikva. I’m married to Shuli, and we have three amazing kids. We love spending time together, enjoying good food, and laughing a lot.

I believe integrating technology in teaching is very important, but at the same time, it’s just a tool for educators. It’s crucial to always consider the situation and circumstances to decide when and how to use it effectively.

Regarding Padlet, I think I would use it to help students get to know each other, just like we’re doing here. Additionally, it could be a great platform for creating collaborative workgroups on various topics.

My name is Nadav, I live in Haifa with my wife and our baby girl. In my free time I enjoy reading a book and playing chess.

An interesting fact... I have a Tiktok channel that is all about picking trash and putting them in the bin, just so maybe one day keeping our environment clean will become "trendy"..

Regarding the use of technology in the classroom, it doesn't mean much to me, flashy videos and AI generated (fill in the blank) are tools just like desks, chairs, and markers.

As teachers, we want to make a good learning environment, we need tools that work, sometimes high-tech will bring the much needed innovation, sometimes old-tech will do just fine.

I am a lawyer by profession, a mom of three beautiful girls (June, Yasmine and Aya), residing in Isifya. I love English and I'm looking forward to becoming an English teacher next year.

Padlet is new to me and is an amazing tool for both my studying and for my career as a teacher. It's fun, easy to use and interactive. Students nowadays always look for ne technologies and technical methods and tools to study and absorb information, and I think this is a great tool for that purpose.

My name is Alissa. I am 37, and I live in Haifa with my partner and 2 kids. I enjoy cooking, long walks, camping, weaving, music and yoga.

This year I have started working as a teacher's assistant at Almogim school. I can see how technology may support teaching and make learning more engaging when used wisely and purposefully. 😊

My name is Dalit, half Israeli and half South African. I moved to Cape Town when I was 12 and, besides English, I had to learn a whole other language - Afrikaans (which stems from Dutch).

I live in Pardes Hana with my Italian husband (yep, I speak some Italiano), 8 year old daughter and two feline children.

I think I was always an educator at heart - I worked with kids in a Montessori kindregarden and as a teacher's aid in a special needs class. In recent years, I practiced as a parent coach as well. I wanted to get into the school system to, so here I am!

Technology in the English classroom makes learning fun and effective. Tools like language apps, online quizzes, and videos help improve skills in new ways. It’s a great way to make lessons more engaging and suited to everyone’s needs.

I believe that a good teacher is someone who can captivate students with an idea or activity. And if modern children are interested in new technology , then teacher should use it in his/her work. But to be honest I wouldn't overestimate the importance of new technology. I believe that it will never replace warm relationships and trust. But I agree that it'll add novelty to the lesson.

I live in Zichron Yaakov and like many other people in my town, I moved here from Haifa, so I am a proud Haifa alumnus.

Lately I have dropped most of my hobbies as the situation - personal and country-wise - took a very heavy toll.

After the latest seize-fire I do hope to start smiling again and looking at a brighter future.

I really like using Padlet for involving and building a team of people through tech options that are available. Padlet specifically can break the remote feeling via sharing pictures and interactions. It can build a community, help collaboration, and support connectivity.

Padlet environment includes interactive games, instant feedback, working together on a project and enables the teacher to be closely involved.

Hi everyone! I'm Najat, a 41-year-old from Isfiya, and I've got quite the journey to share. For 18 wonderful years, I dedicated myself to early childhood education, running my very own family daycare. Now, I'm super excited to be here – teaching English has always been a dream of mine!

I recently completed my bachelor's degree at the University of Haifa,fascinating dual-track program in counseling, human development, and human services. I also earned a special education teaching certification along the way. Today, I'm thrilled to be a student at Gordon College, chasing my passion for language education.

My ultimate goal? To become an amazing English teacher after these two years of study. Wish me luck!

My name is Danny and I'm 57 years old. I live in Megadim, a moshav which is close to Haifa. I have 4 kids and a dog. I like to go on walks and in my spare time I go to the gym.

I like to use technology in my teaching as much as possible because I find that it helps enhance the lesson. It has many activities that I use in my English classes that assist in teaching. I have the use of games that I play with my students which helps in rehearsing vocabulary in a fun way.

Of course I use it to enhance my teaching. It can be very helpful, but not always. I do use it a lot since I find that it is very beneficial for students.
