Digital payments have many pros and cons I think cash is valuable because it helps people spend less. When you pay cash, you tangibly realize how much you're paying for and are more likely to be able to say no to things you don't need. Therefore, paying in cash may be better for people. Many people "struggle at the end of the month" not because they don't earn enough, but because they spend money on things they don't need.
