1976, terrorist attacks worsened, so the army seized power.
The army launched a brutal campaign against workers, students, and other "enemy of the states". Dissidents were sought out across the country, and put into detention camps.
Thousands arrested and tortured, as many as 30,000 still missing, after they "disappeared." Civil Rights activists spoke out against the government, and Gen. Roberto began to lose control of his army.
Violence turned many against military leaders, which turned them to a different war: one to gain support again.

The plaza de Mayo is the city center of Buenos Aires and was the main foundational site. During the military regime of Argentina many children and people went missing and were victim to human rights violation. Then the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo formed and it was made up of the mothers of the "lost" children and they began to march in the Plaza de Mayo and they were the initial responders to the human rights violations. This isn't the only human rights violation that happened in Argentina. About 9,000 people had "disappeared" between 1976 and 1983.

In 1946 a former army colonel, Juan Perón ws elected president. Juan promised works higher wages and he won the support of other groups by promoting economic nationalism. Now Eva Perón did a lot to increase her husbands popularity among the working class. She used persuasion and threats to get "donations" from rich landowners and industrialists. She then gave the money to the poor and also used it to build schools and hospitals. Eva also helped women to win the right to vote in Argentina in 1947.
Under Juan, the lives of working class people improved. Some Problems he had when leading was restricting civil rights and his government was corrupt. After the death of his wife Eva his popularity dropped even more. his popularity faded more and more till the army seized power in 1955 and forced Juan into exile. In the end the costly new programs led to the nation into the point of bankruptcy. María Estela Martínez Cartas de Perón, better known as Isabel Martínez de Perón or Isabel Perón, served as President of Argentina from 1974 to 1976. She was the third wife of President Juan Perón. During her husband's third term as president from 1973 to 1974, Isabel served as both vice president and First Lady. Following her husband's death in office in 1974, Isabel served as president of Argentina from 1 July 1974 to 24 March 1976, when the military took over the government and placed her under house arrest for five years, before exiling her to Spain in 1981. She holds the distinction of having been the first woman to have had the title of "President" of any republic in the world, as opposed to a monarch or a prime minister.

About half a ton of marijuana was stolen from a police warehouse. Former commissioner Specia was a primary suspect, and when he was questioned along with three subordinates, they all claimed it was eaten by mice. Scientists explained that mice would not mistake the drug for food, and that the explanation was invalid. The four officers have been called to court on May 4th, and we will see what truly happened to the Marijuana.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/apr/11/argentinian-police-officers-dismissed-after-claiming-mice-ate-marijuana
