From this we learn that as a parent, it is okay to give your children freedom than restricting them from things. This is needed for kids to experience different situations, so they will be able to become the best versions of themselves. Additionally, it is of value to educate your children and be there for them when needed. Furthermore, it is essential to provide your children with some independence so they can learn life skills such as self-discipline and responsibility.

Atticus is a very easygoing parent. He trusts his children and has no problem taking a hands off approach when it comes to parenting. He allows them to be independent which opens up opportunities for them to be able to learn things through experience and making mistakes. He's a very loving father and is there for his children when they need guidance. I think Atticus' parenting style is very effective because he has clear morals but isn't strict about every aspect of his children's life. His open mindedness grants his children to learn lessons they need early on instead of way later in life. In today's world it is very hard to let your children have this much freedom due to the access of so many scary things. But parents could learn to be open minded like Atticus and let their children learn things on their own time. Being strict doesn't allow room for education on things like self-discipline, responsibility, and self regulation.
