It's important to test for this because it is very common, but it can be toxic to the living organism causing death, growth, and problems reproducing. You have to make sure Ammonia is under 1.5.

What evidence from your data can show that the nitrogen cycle was present in your ecosystem?

The data I collected shows that the nitrogen cycle is happening because having more nitrate than ammonia means that ammonia is converting to nitrite to change to nitrate.

The most difficult part was making sure my fish Kevin was eating because he wouldn't eat often. An interesting thing that happened was at fist my fish wouldn't swim or be active but a couple weeks later is when he started swimming more, and he wasn't so scared of his surroundings.

I've learned taking care of a fish is not as easy as it looks. They require more attention than what we give them. It takes time to check if the water they're in is safe for them to be in. Water is really important for them as it is for us. Plants are important to the aquatic life as it is for us.

I suggest they wait the 5 min for the nitrate and ammonia test that way you know the water is good for the fish. Make sure you have a fresh plant because that is what your fish is going to eat. If you have an aquarium it's important to have it fill up almost the way so the fish has more freedom to swim.

This helped me understand that we need to be more careful of what we put out in this world because for us to test the water quality in the classroom is easy but we can't be able to go around the world and test all the water quality. This is made me understand we need to be more careful of what we put put in this world because it could be hurting the aquatic life.
