https://padlet.com/associatedgeneralclassroom/fcpzaip4rlca Please provide feedback on your experience. en-us 2018-06-19 19:43:16 UTC 2018-08-04 15:33:32 UTC hello@padlet.com https://padlet.com/associatedgeneralclassroom/fcpzaip4rlca/wish/271585606 I want to thank Jon Orrell for an amazing job shadow opportunity.  I loved how his company had so many different safety mechanism in place -from doing company stretches in the morning to having a lean practice-it just shows how much is involved.  Also, at the job site, we had the opportunity to hear from the electricians and foreman while having lunch.  One of my favorite moment of all times.  Hearing everyone's career pathway was so helpful.  One of the electrician was had served in the Navy and it was great to hear his experience.  I am so grateful for the time and effort that EC/Jon Orrell took helping me understand the industry that I knew nothing about.  Jon has two patents ( I can't wait to share that with my students!) This level of intimate conversation and learning made my day so fascination.  And not to geek out but to have one of the warehouse electrician say that the company practices Kaizen!  It just made my day:))))  What an amazing company!  Thank you is not enough for the time and I can't wait for my students to come and do a day there.  I hope to connect with Jon and do a field trip to his job site.

Jon was such a fantastic host! Seeing how EC's prefab department made extremely complex components seem simple, was astounding. I can see that EC is a place for those who think outside the box. The visit to PSU and seeing how the planning turns into doing was awesome. I really enjoyed sitting down with the electricians for lunch at the PSU worksite and hearing their stories. it was obvious they were happy with their jobs and to work for EC. The pizza was really good, too! 
The 3-D imagining that allows us to see how the buildings look without even stepping foot inside, was fantastic! I can see students having their "ah-ha" moment knowing they could have a job that creates 3-D imagery. 
I look forward to working with EC Electric in the near future. I know that my experience with the job shadow was inspiring, I'm sure there are many young minds that will feel the same.
