Have you ever heard of “Diwali”? It’s an important festival on the Indian calendar. People on that day will light up their home with oil lamps, lanterns, candles and electrical lights, meaning light over dark and victory of good over evil.Shriya Chitale still continues celebrating this festival even though she has lived in New Zealand for six years which makes her feel connected with her family.

If I were to move to another country, I would still continue my own tradition such as eating moon cake and playing with lanterns during the Mid-Autumn festival. While celebrating this festival, I will find myself still connected to my family and place that I was born. Besides, I will disseminate the traditional Chinese culture to my neighbour and share the stories with them.

1. To reduce sexual violence during last year's running of the bulls, the government of Pamplona has adopted the following measures.

Firstly, since it was hard to identify the perpetrators in such a large crowd, the centre of Pamplona has been covered by 21 security cameras so that more harassment cases can be resolved.

Secondly, thousands of police were on duty and agents from the family and women unit were on duty to deal with, and hopefully prevent, abuses.

Lastly, there was also an app which offers information about events around the city, gives advice on how to deal with and report sexual offences. The information point was set up specifically to inform people about the issue and also to deal with complaints from women. It had a staff trained in dealing with sexual offences.

2. The running of the bulls is a "controversial cultural activity" is because of the following reasons.

For those who think that the festival should continue is because this festival inherits the culture of Spain and it is a tradition unique for Spain. During the the festival, the population of the small city in Navarra swells tenfold more than a million people come from around the world.

However, more and more people disagree with the continual of the festival since the bulls are killed in the ring after the run. Adding that the bull run itself is barbaric and that the animals are terrified.

Some people claimed that tourists increased during the festival. However, the reality is that the majority of Spaniards are against bullfighting. A lot of people don't come to Pamplona in July because of the bull run and a lot more tourist would come here if they banned it. That's why 125 Spanish cities have banned bullfighting. Even the mayor of Pamplona said the bullfight was not an essential component of the event.

It was truly an ongoing debate in Spanish about bullfighting. Also, it is dangerous for the public since they don't have any protective gears. People may die because no one can predict what will the bull does. Each year between 50-100 people are injured. In conclusion, I think that this festival should put to an end.
