It allows a safe space for the children to express themself without feeling like an authoritative figure is watching them 24/7. It also encourages play and is a good staple for any student.

One of my favorite parts about going outside at my old school was a simple trail. It was about a mile stretch of beautiful nature, and it felt very freeing as a child. It was a great break from the regular school activities. It gave me time to think to myself and have fun with my friends without feeling like I was being controlled or interrupted every five seconds. The trail also allowed us to participate in other activities that encouraged creativity, such as scavenger hunts and various games. It could also be used for exercise if we choose to run it.

This video featured several great outdoor activities for children. Still, the one that piqued my interest the most was the nature journaling activity, because it requires children to utilize various abilities simultaneously, such as their cognitive skills, while being active. This is an excellent break for children as well, and it lets them express themselves as they can write down whatever they want to observe in their journals. It could become a class-sharing activity, which allows students to become accustomed to speaking in front of their peers.

Night at the Museum is a game similar to Red Light, Green Light. The game is straightforward yet fun and can be played both indoors and outdoors. The game requires students to pose as a statue when another student, the "nightguard," turns around to look at them. This encourages socialization as well as the development of critical thinking skills. I also think it requires creativity when posing as a statue.
