Hi, my name is Astrid Escalante, I had been working with special needs for almost 10 years, I graduated in El Salvador in Business but always worked in the Educative field, worked for the Ministry of Education in EL Salvador in the Projects Department. I always wanted to be a teacher, here in CA I found a new passion and had been working in direct support through various agencies, I gladly developed true caring for the people I support and always interested in new knowledge that can help me to help them thrive. Actually, I'm a Support Coordinator for Avenues SLS and support two individuals that are non-verbal's, with the help of my boss we are trying to implement ACC to improve and facilitate the way they communicate.

Very excited to be here and learn from all of you!

My favorite movie is the AVATAR saga 😊
