Causes: overproduction of stuff like cars. Nobody would buy them and eventually the companies couldn't pay their employees which lead to even less people that could pay for new cars.
Events: New president. Franklin Roosevelt. Dust-storms. Black Tuesday and black Thursday. Stockmarket went down. Roosevelts New Deal. World war two which demanded for more weapons etc.
Results: USA could build up factories and therefore employe their citizens which made it possible for the citizens to start consuming what the factories made. World war 2 was a result. Everything happened because of the first world war. Countries owed USA money and because of that they couldn't build up their own countries fast.

Causes - Unemployment, because of that people stopped buying products, and the money lost its value. People had to much trust in the stock and when it failed they lost money. (October 29, 1929 Black Tuesday) The richest 1% were the ones mostly affected but soon people with less money would be affected too because they were employed by the rich people.

Events - Black Thursday, Black Tuesday. President Hoover got the blame, new president elected (Franklin D. Roosevelt) promised to fix everything.
Dust bowl. WW2 (actually helped? people got employed to make resources for the army)

Results - Farms had to close down, less food, people traveled to find jobs, eventually more jobs were created because of WW2 and people could start buying stuff again. A new cycle of consumerism started and the Great Depression was over.
