This past Saturday, the high school and middle school cross country teams participated in the Andrews XC Relay where they competed in pairs of two with a coveted chicken as their baton.


Leading the middle school girls race for Crane was Analise Garza and Kassidy Hargrove in 7th place. Also participating was Yaritza Alvarez, Landri Aguilar, Gallelia Chavez, Alexandria Hernandez, D’Layni Hernandez, Alenae Mendoza, Baylee Pahl, Sophie Perez, Savannah Rizo, Gema Tapia, Edyn Vega, Scarlett Fuentes, Tenley McNeese, Wendy Mendoza, and Kaila Salazar.


In the middle school boys race, the duo of Miguel Lozano and Anthony Reynoso placed 2nd for Crane. Also participating was Jhett Aguilar, Bernardo Aparcio, Tyler Barrientos, Adrian Reynoso, Gabriel Solis, Kevin Rizo, Stetson Vargas, Kevin Garcia, David Padilla, Joaquin Perez, and Adrian Hernandez.


The high school girls race was led by Senior Shae Coates and Junior Aubrey Torres in 6th place. Also participating was Kenya Valles, Robyn Vega, Adriana Bonachea, Julia Jurado, Berkeley McNeese, Alondra Parades, Marlene Rodriguez, Aubrey Torres, Vida Flores, Amanda Gutierrez, Arianna Inigues, Kinley Floyd, Ava Hernandez, and Amber Mendoza.


Junior Steven Lozano and Senior Josh Morales placed 2nd in the high school boys race. Also participating was Phailon Flores, Noah Garcia, Daylen Hightower, Luis Ochoa Valles, Luciano Alvarez, Michael Esparza, Jahyr Gonzales, Ivan Martinez, Gael Lupercio, Esteban Morales, Sebastian Rizo, Damian Gallegos, Zayden Garza, Luis Rodriguez, and Keyan Williams.


The middle school Lady Birds and Golden Cranes will next run at Eldorado on Wednesday while the high school will run at Concan on Friday.
