In Italy street foods his becoming very common in the recent years. My husband has worked for about 4 years in a company which go around Italy and cook “arrosticini” into the best street food of Italy. That characteristic food are from Abruzzo, a region situate in the middle of Italy. That typical dices comes from sheeps meat. It is cut in cubical pieces and tuck into wooden sticks .The best way to cook arrosticini is on a braiser they are cooked in a long type of shape called “canalina” . There are served with a slice of hand-made bread whit oil extra-vergine, accompanied by a good red wine or a cold bear. It is a delicious combination that you have to try if you go in Italy. If you walking around the stands you can see the “lampredotto” . You must try a sandwich with this tipical Florentine disch, made from a cow. This meat is cooked slowly with vegetables and differenent type of spiecies and served in a sandwich. Even thoug if you like sweet food you have to try another specially disches called “cannoli”. The are from an amazing Italian island called “Sicily”. Cannoli consist of pastries filles by a delicious creme that contain ricotta strictly mad from sheep. You can find the street foods in different places from north to south Italy for example in the biggest square of Padova called “Prato-della-valle” or in the long sea of civitanova Marche especially in the summer season.

street food in Japan

In Japan, street food is not in common except "Matsuri" in English, "festival". Because Japanese government strictly regulates street food so as not to get food poisoning and protect neighbors from noise which is caused by cooking dish or tallking. Anyway I don't like festival not so much. So, I've never eaten street food in Japan. However, I am going to introduce "yakisoba" which is in common both as home cooking and as street food in Japan. "yakisoba" is a kind of noodles. It is often sold in festival. Ingredients are noodles, cabbage, carrot, Worcester sauce, onion, meat…whatever you want. How to cook ? It is very easy. First, cut ingredients. Second, stir fry noodles and ingredients. Third, dust yakisoba-mix on noodles and ingredients and stir it. That's all. It is very easy, isn't it ? If you are interested in "yakisoba", you should go to "Matsuri". But if you can't go to Japan, you can cook "yakisoba" by yourself. You can probably get yakisoba-mix in Japanese or Asian supermarket. Anyway, let's try "yakisoba". MITSUHIRO

Hotteok - The King of Busan Street Food

I'm very glad to introduce my favorite Korean street snack to you. It called 'HOTTEOK' which is a Korean sweet pancake and you can enjoy it in every corner of my country, especially during winter. But, today, I'd like to let you know 'The Seed Hotteok' that is a heavily oiled donut-like pastry filled with sugar and crushed nuts. If you visit Busan which is the second largest city in Korea located in the southern province, you can find it every where but I recommend you to go to BIFF Square. Since there are not only the seed hotteok's stalls but also lots of other good tasty street plates you can enjoy.

Let me introduce how to make the Seed Hotteok. First of all, we need a few simple ingredients such as flour, water, dry yeast, salt, vegetable oil, brown sugar, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and cinnamon powder. Plenty of walnuts and seeds are the key point!

From now, we need to prepare the dough and mixture with brown sugar and fried seeds. And then place the dough ball, flatten it, put some filing in the dough and seal it to make a ball. Next, put the dough balls in heated pan with enough oil and make them flatten with simple circular shaped equipment. Then again, wait until the bottoms of dough turn golden brown. If you check it, turn them over again and also wait for it to be brown. Lastly, put them out and do plating with extra seeds and cinnamon powder. It tastes so sweat and great! I'm convinced if your children have it, they will be the happiest smile you've never seen :)

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you to enjoy this with your friends. - S c o t t

ps) When you do plating, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It'll make it more fantastic!

Korean hot dog

Do you like street food? If you say yes, which food do you like? In Korea, there are plenty of food, my favorite of them is hotdog. Maybe you think a bread with sausage in it. It also called corndog which is a sausage on a stick that has been coated in a thick layer of deep fried batter. However, Korean hotdog is different from what you used to eat and unique. You can see it anywhere in Korea like rest area in highway and food courts, as it’s a common but popular street food. In addition, the recipe of it is so simple that normally many people make it at home. It has only 4 steps with a cup of flour, baking powder, eggs, salt, sugar, milk, sausages, skewers and oil. First, In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, sugar and baking powder and then Stir in eggs and milk. But if you want, you can add any ingredients such as potatoes, cheese, pineapple etc. Second, insert wooden skewers into sausages and then roll the sausages in batter until well coated. Next, fry 2 or 3 hot dogs in a pan with oil at a time until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. The last, You pour sauces you want! In my case, I usually cover it with sugar since it is not only crispy but it can also feel the rough texture of sugar. Yet there are lot of choices. Many people have them with various toppings and sauces. For example, in my county, people put tomato sauce on a hot dog with potato toppings. How would you like to have a Korean hotdog?
written by Song
