Once it was acted on, the force of the trigger projected it forward, therefore accelerating while it reached its maximum height. There were little to no calculations made before constructing the catapult. This resulted in several hours of trial and errors while building. Also, to launch the catapult further, the tip of the string could of been higher on the spoon, compared to it being closer to the bottom of the spoon. Finally, the project would all-around need to be adjusted in glueing aspects. Once objects were glued, they were difficult to remove, which resulted in unnecessary pieces resting on the catapult, or being incorporated into the design.
