Brendan knows the basic parts of his body and participates enthusiastically in action songs such as “If You’re Happy and You Know It” and “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.” He demonstrates significant progress in both the obstacle course and balance activities. He enjoys engaging in floor exercises, including crawling under objects, rolling and jumping. Brendan also loves hitting wooden blocks together, which helps develop his bilateral integration skills.

Brendan is eager to participate when building with wooden blocks and can construct a tall tower with confidence. He has shown good progress in his colouring activities and tries his best to stay within the lines. He enjoys exploring different art materials and especially likes tearing paper and magazines. Brendan can use scissors, but still needs some practice and encouragement to hold them correctly. He loves playing with playdough, rolling it into balls and using shape cutters to make different forms.

Brendan shows great enthusiasm when climbing the climbing wall and has developed strong balancing skills. He is beginning to show progress and completes all gross motor activities with confidence and ease. You are a superstar, Brendan! He has a lot of fun riding the bikes in the playground and takes turns nicely with his friends. He loves listening and moving to action songs such as the Dinosaur Song. Brendan shows excitement when balancing and walking across the bridge of the jungle gym.

Brendan can complete a three-piece puzzle independently and is still learning to build a six-piece puzzle. With continued motivation and practice, he will soon master this skill. Brendan also delights in exploring outdoors, especially when searching for insects, demonstrating his growing curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about the world around him. He can sit quietly while listening to short stories and is also learning to hold a book correctly and turn the pages carefully. Brendan enjoys learning the alphabet letters and can point to his favourite pictures in the book. He takes great interest in songs and rhymes, which help him learn new words. With more practice and encouragement, Brendan will continue to grow in his early reading and language skills.

Brendan can count from zero to five with assistance. With continued practice and motivation, he will further develop this skill. His concentration is still developing, and he can become easily distracted at times. He enjoys participating in number activities and takes delight in tracing his numbers. While he is still learning to recognise them, he has fun learning through number rhymes such as “One, Two, Buckle My Shoe.” He can match some colours and shapes with assistance and especially enjoyed the lesson on measurements while washing toys, exploring when a cup is full and when it is empty.

Brendan is developing well in his creative art activities. He has fun making collages, tearing paper and using glue to paste pieces onto his pictures. He can scribble and create both horizontal and vertical lines with crayons and chalk. The highlight of his day is creating patterns in shaving cream, which he finds very exciting. He is still learning to thread beads and, with practice and motivation, he will achieve this skill. Brendan is motivated during our free art lessons. Stay creative, Brendan. Brendan is a valued member of our class and enjoys spending time outdoors with his friends. He shows genuine concern for his peers, especially when they get hurt, which reflects his caring nature. He has made good progress in his creative work and continues to show enthusiasm in his activities. He still needs some encouragement with his Mathematics concepts, but together we will work hard to overcome these challenges. Brendan is an affectionate little boy and is loved by all.
