Things that went well:

- Our tempo from measure 5 to 13 was good, all of the first and second violins were connected.

-Our intonation from measure 64 to measure 66 was really good.

-We had good dynamics throughout the song

-Our vibrato from measure 88 to measure 92 was spot on.

Improving: Looking at conductor, articulation, phrasing

• Our dynamics were good at most parts of the song

• The cello solo was very good and they stayed together

• The violins and violas did a sounded great at measures 64 - 70

Something to work on-The pizz could be a little more better, more fluent throughout, ending was good but we weren't together

Overall this was a very good song that we played throughout the concert.

Something bad- We didn't stay together on the tied notes.

All the instruments stayed together throughout the song. The cellos didn't play too quiet during their melody and the other instruments didn't try to play louder than them in the parts that wasn't their melody. The intonation was also good and the pizz wasn't rushed.

We could improve on shifting to the correct note on time.

We can improve on intonation and staying with the tempo. Ina few measures we grew apart.

Cellos played loud enough since they had the main melody, and sounded together for the most part. When we did fall apart we did get back together, and the dynamics are good as well. The intonation is good throughout the piece as well. the pizzicato was together as well, along with 64 to 69 being good when it came to intonation. We collectively stayed together and the transitions from the pizz to arco was well. We didn't rush on the pizz as well.

Things that we can improve:

Violins and the cellos needed to stay together more with their sections, since at the beginning we weren't really together (also for the other instruments but mostly the violins and somewhat the cellos) but the violins and the other parts (other than basses) needed to be quieter since they don't really have the main melody. the intonation at certain parts do need improving since they sounded out of tune whenever we played (c naturals). The cellos need to be a bit more louder so they can be heard more clearly since they have the main melody.

At 61 we were too early. We can work on that by working with a metronome and staying exactly with the click.

We could improve on being in tune at the beginning of the song (in the first few measures) we can fix this by tapping our finger before Ms. Stevens starts with the downbeat.

Things to improve upon:

1. We could improve on intonation.

4. We could try to stay on beat more and try to look at the conductor more often.

-When we started the song, some people did the wrong intonation, such as playing a low two on the E string instead of playing high two. Something we can do to improve upon this is to practice our finger patterns.

-Our tempo from 21 to 29 was a little too fast, as some people played it too early. Something we can do to improve this is to practice with a metronome.

Things that especially didn't go well were the first one or two measures. The violins were very out of tune and took some time to play in tune. The accompaniment played a little too loud at times and didn't let the melody shine. The higher notes were a bit out of tune

In other parts, the intonation was a bit off, and when we were on the second page, the dynamics didn't match those of other people.

Things that could be improved: the second time the 2nds and violas pizzicato, some people sped up while others stayed with the tempo, so it just sounded messy. During the 2nds and viola melody soli, there were some out-of-tune notes and some people were speeding up, and it sounded a little bad.

-2nd and 1st pizz was good

-51 - measure before 68 was good (dynamics and clarity)

-ending (67 - 91) was better than the beginning

-cellos were clearer

Things that went well:

1. The violins stayed together from measures 1 to first beat of 25 (pizzicato part) Violin 2

2. We stayed together from the beginning until measure 66.

3. We had good intonation especially from 49-66 which was a part we struggled on.

4. We played good and correct dynamics.

Things to improve upon:

1. We didn't stay together from 67 especially the violins as they were in their pizzicato part.

Our intonation was really good & we cold actually hear the pizz. The timing between cellos & other instruments was good at 58 part.

Inprovement:

We need to get the higher notes like d correct. We could work on staying a bit together at the end.

The second violins in their first part for the pizz stayed together with the harps as well as the violas, and the first violins had good intonations as well. Intonation overall ok, the part from 49 to 51 for the cellos was great when it came to intonations and dynamics as well. The part from 51 to 66 was good, it sounded together. the violins (first) did good on their ending melody and the ending was good.

Things that we need to improve:

The 2nd violins needed to stay together from the end of the fermato to the end because it was basically a JUNGLE.. The 2nd violins needed to fix their intonation when they had their melody part, the cellos needed to play louder, as you cant really hear their part when they were playing. The basses also need to be a bit more louder, since the first violins were louder than everyone else.

Something we can majorly improve on-When we got to to second part of pizzing or both violins and violas, basses too, we didn't stay together and that impacted us to have a bad ending, but it was good. We also kinda rushed throughout the song, and we should look up more.

Overall a very good song and performance!

Improve: 3rd fingers can be higher in 1 and 25 for instruments. You can work on finger patterns. We could barely hear the pizzicato. We were playing kind of out of tune. We can be better by using finger patterns. We can improve on dynamics because the crescendos in the pizzicato was unnoticeable. We just have to be good at crescendos and decrescendos.

The first violins in the begining were out of tune, out if sync, and doing most of the dynamics wrong. They started to get it together later on after the seconds joind, but they could have done a lot better. I can already tell that 67.41% of them had horrible posture in the moment. They were also way off beat sometimes, but they managed to bring it back together in the end. We NEED to look at the conducter more and lock in our sight being set. We also need wayyy better posture.

Things that we can improve upon:

-The violin 2 section was not staying together during measure 67-89. Something we can do to improve this is to practice with the metronome and to look at the conductor more.

-The crescendos from measure 67-75 were not very hearable, and it heard like we were playing at the same dynamic. Something we can do to improve this is to practice scales or arpeggios with crescendos.

4th position could've been slightly more in tune but the first violins did really good and only some of the notes through out the piece were off through different sections

Improve: The violin section could have been more together. we could have sounded more together in 123-130, maybe better tremolo in the last ending of the piece

Some people in my section did the parts in first position instead of third. But maybe if we practice more we all can do it in third position.

Good things, We were together, especially the beginning and dynamics were good this time, cellos didn't get into Viola's solo part, and Cello main part was in tune. I like the measure 123, crechendo was really good.

Improve: 69-73 was not in rhythm and at 77 the violas(one of them) was speeding up way too much. LOOK AT THE CONDUCTOR!!!!!!

Something that we could improve on is dynamic so one instrument doesn't overpower the entire section and staying together.

The intensity was absolutely amazing, and each section worked so well with the other.

Favorite Part:

My favorite part was when I got to listen to the harps and the Chamber. It was also when Daksha and I realized that someone had stolen her binder.

Things that went well was the 112 to the end of the song because the drums added a nice kick to the music. The cellos also played their tremolo well at the end. We stayed together a lot too and the basses glissando was good too.

My favorite part was the harps and drums playing along. My least favorite was when someone stole my binder from under my chair and Aanya Ranjan kept laughing at me whining.

-Our intonation from measure 123 to measure 131 was really good, and we kept our tempo together.

-Our dynamic shift at measure 123 was really fast and good.

Things that we can improve upon:

-Our intonation in measure 61 to 76 was a little bit off. To improve this, we can practice our finger patterns.

-Our intonation and tempo from measure 37 to measure 45 was a little bit off. To improve this, we can practice finger patterns, look at the conductor more, and practice with a metronome.

My favorite moment was listening to the whole concert and making the beginner concert sleigh.

Things we did well:

This piece had the best intonation overall and the drums and the transitions from piano to forte went REALLY good, we all stayed together when we had those parts, and we especially did good at the beginning and at the end. Carol of the bells was REALLY good when it came to us playing this piece and performing it (despite how we feel apart during rehearsals during advisory).

Things we need to improve:

The first violins needed to stay more together from 61 to 77, and the second violin to probably improve their intonation, but overall, nothing bad was happening and it wasn't anything we needed to improve.

The dynamics were SPOT ON. OMG. Chefs kiss. Our intonation was insanely good, and our tone was amazing, we used a bunch of a vibrato. At 94, our piano to forte was amazing. i got goosebumps. 123 was very articulate, just like we wanted! Props to the basses for their glissando, it was insane!!! (Basses need more recognition real)

Things to improve on:

Some notes were out of tune, but it wasn't that noticable. at 77, some people rushed and it sounded weird, so we need to stay together. that's all! :)

6. We were together for the whole song.

7. This was our best played piece in the whole concert in my opinion as we stayed together and it sounded nice.

8. Sudden piano at 123 was played greatly by everyone.

9. Each instrument including percussion was heard at every part of the music.

Things to improve upon:

1. Look up at the conductor especially at measure 61. However, we picked up very quickly.

Favorite Moment:

Something I liked from the entire concert was that we got to play with percussion for Carol of the Bells. It made it sound much better and I was really looking forward to playing that song after I got to know that we had a percussionist (Adhvay) playing with us. I also liked when Chamber was playing because they played amazing but also seeing Kavish's hat being straight up and being "unique" in a way while Medhun was "Aura Farming" in a way.
