Students experienced ‘epiphany’ through a coming of age novel. They used their experiences and creativity to learn vignettes, a style of writing which makes use of vivid descriptions and detailing of the moments. They started working on creating their autobiographies with focus to their feelings and thoughts. They enjoyed getting nostalgic with their memories and sharing them with their peers.

Students were innovative in creating a double helix model of DNA using recyclable material that helped them understand the pattern in structure and its function.Visually impactful PPts and videos enabled each student to get a clarity of concepts. Extraction of DNA from onion-process performed in the lab was a new learning experience for them. GRASP assessment was a highlight of the unit as the students played a role of a DNA forensic analyst and tried to solve a bank robbery case. The assessment was authentic and it has strengthened their critical thinking and research skills.
