Last year the Covid pandemic started and this year it continued.  We had been going to school for approximately 1 month and then we started having online classes. Personally I don’t like the online classes, because the days look like they are all the same.  Luckily this year the quarantine wasn’t as restrictive as last year and I could go outside for a walk.  I really wish I could go with my friends to the same place on summer holidays.  If only we had planned it better in the holidays before Covid.  If this pandemic hadn’t existed, I would have gone to see the Copa América with my parents.  I think that Argentina might have won the trophy.

From all the things I have seen in English this year, I think that the vocabularies from jobs and conflicts are the ones that I understood better.  “Future tenses” was the theme from grammar that I understood better.  Some of the idioms from the vocabulary of work were new for me. I found very interesting “the bottom line” and “thrown in at the deep end”.  I think that the most useful thing we have seen was the specific use of every tense.

A very interesting phrase about how important our decisions are is the one that says: “A wish doesn't change anything. One decision changes everything”

These past few days I’ve been feeling unmotivated and really bored. Each day is like a repeated disk and I’m tired of being at home and tired of this virus. I wish that the pandemic is over, hard, I know, and my biggest regret right now is not hanging out much with my friends before quarantine. If Covid-19 hadn't appeared I would have probably established more relationships with my classmates, because I mostly know them through WhatsApp.

I understood better how to make speculations. I found interesting: thrown at the deep end, engage in and must have. For me, in the future I’ll use everything but mostly phrasal verbs.

We are surrounded by uncertainty, each choice that we make has infinite possible scenarios, will it be accurate or not?, most of the time we don’t know. It doesn’t matter how the situation develops, either way we learn something. Decisions are lessons and we must take them and not let anyone else make them for us, we need to take the reins of our own life to grow up and become the best possible version of ourselves.

 

I don´t feel very well about the pandemic. Because I don´t like the online classes, because I miss classmates and friends. Personally I wish I could go to a big party and go with all the people that I miss, this summer. If Covid hadn´t appeared I would have gone to a lot of partys with my friends.

 

Regarding to the grammar and vocabulary we have seen this term, I think I understood better Future tenses now and all the vocabulary related to jobs. “face uo” and ease off were two of the phrasal verbs that I had never seen and I found interesting.
