         <description><![CDATA[<div>Kiddush is a blessing said over wine to start Shabbat. The Jewish law is kept by using Kiddish because it remembers Shabbat. This ceremony takes place Friday evening and Sunday morning. It starts when the head of the house recites the Kiddush. Then the leader drinks the wine first and passes it to everyone else.</div>]]></description>

And before Friday night dinner it is customary to sing two songs. After blessings a festive meal is served. Singing is traditional at Sabbath meals.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Challah</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Challah is a traditional Jewish bread. It is also called Kitke, Khale, Dacher, and Bukhte. The challah is made with white flour, eggs, salt, and yeast. When the Challah is used during Shabbat it represent the manna that fell from heaven during the Exodus. The three Shabbat meals begin with the blessing of the bread. During the wine blessing, which takes place before the bread, the bread  is covered by a decorative cloth.</div>]]></description>

The more recent word related to shavat is shevita. This word means labor strike, which has the same basic meaning of shavat but has more emphasis on actively not doing work.</div>]]></description>
