But I disagree that this platform should not be openly available for junior students, without some measure of control a d supervision as they would not be less likely confine their activities to school work and activities.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ellen Brown12:52</div><div><br></div><div>This week class exposed us to e testing and Microsoft Forms. I think that both are good p programs for the teacher in this new technological age of educating. some of the new electronic tools that are being offered for the teacher and the classroom are easy to use and others from my limited exposure to them thus far requires much practice and exploration which to some might become tedious, as time is always a factor for teachers, especially when it comes to planning and executing lessons. However, I found e testing quite manageable and once teachers/schools start using it I believe it will become even easier to manage and use but the whole institution must be on board for something like e-testing to work effectively.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div>Ellen Brown.<br>I believe that ICT has become an important part of the teaching and learning process in every subject area. In the VAPA areas it can only add to the visual and psychomotor impact of the arts. Bring the arts a little more closer to the students, engaging them a little more through the use of sounds, images and demonstration. The ICT component once operating properly, affords the teachers to use real time programs and tools when a question is asked, when a new idea if forged. It has already been entrenched in the Visual Art section of VAPA in one of the "Expressive Forms- GRAPHIC DESIGN AND COMMUNICATION", and is used for research(techniques, history, tools, materials and artists) by the students in the other Expressive Forms in the Visual Arts.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Ellen Brown </div><div><br></div><div>The fourth b egan with the Curriculum officer for the Modern Studies subject area brief us on the various tools which can be used in the classroom under the Modern Studies umbrella.<br>We were then exposed to the SAMR model and how we as teachers c integrate ICT in a meaningful way in our subject areas to effect authentic and critical thinking, to includes the adaptation and redefinition aspects into their sessions, and at the same time encouraging students to use the collaborative tools/programs for assignments, discussions etc.<br>There was a group presentation in which groups demonstrated ways in which ICT can be used in the classroom. The results showed that I scored the highest in Naturalistic followed by Linguistic and Visual-Spatial. the lowest score was in music at 50%. When I read up on each Intelligence I realized that some of it is really reflects some of my personality traits. Its a very unusual assessment though.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ellen Brown12:58</div><div><br></div><div>Technology which can be used to assist the physically challenged -1) speech recognition software which allows persons to control a computer by speaking to it, some software are Dragon Systems, Via Voice, Voice Express, and Free Speech. 2) Intellikeys- for persons who has difficulty operating a mouse or keyboard an, it is a keyboard and overlay combination that takes the place of the actual keyboard, it consist of alphabet, numbers and enlarged arrows. 3) SmartNav4- for persons who cannot use the Intellikeys or Speech recognition, This device allows student to move the mouse by moving his/her head slightly, virtual keyboard is on the screen that allows the student to use the entire text or navigate. 4)Goodeneck Switch- allows a person to use a computer with the use of his/her head. (gokeytech.com 2007). The aforementioned are for the physically challenged, these software will assist in the learning and teaching process in and out of a class room setting.</div>]]></description>

I would especially like the art teachers in this group (sign in using your google account) and take a look at how other art teachers in the other countries do their quiz. And the thing with this platform is you can add to what is already there or create your own. That's as far as got to explore so far .          <description><![CDATA[<div> I do not think the classrooms of today is as bad as the 1960's for there are technology and ICT infused into the classes, and at the same time I do not think we are quite ready for the 21st century classroom. I do believe it may be a better way of teaching this new generation of learners. And the ministry of Education is diffinately moving in the right direction by sending their teachers on workshops and courses to show and teach them new ways of facilitating/ teaching students.But the powers that be must also change the testing processes as well to match the new learning curves. </div>]]></description>

         <title>REFLECTION 7</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The program is very educational and enlightening. There was much information given and shared, but I felt the time was not enough. (to much to short) by that I mean, there was not enough time to really become not just familiar with the new programs and platforms but become competent at using it before we moved on to another. some of the programs and platforms were easier to familiarize oneself with  while other needed more time to do and more practice . The platforms I found easier in my estimation to manipulate were dashboard, sway, google classroom, google form, one note. and because this these platform easy maneuverability I believe a lot of teachers will gravitate towards these for their classrooms. <br> I am more confident now with my ability at using these platforms, I feel that they will be an asset to me in the classroom. Those which posed some challenges are prezi, powtoons, google Doc, I believe i will go back into them and become more familiar and try to work the  problems out. Once the school is outfitted with the hardware and software for the classroom these programs/platform will definitely be used by teachers and students.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
