After watching the movie, Ignasyo de Loyola, and contemplating my life choices, I have realized a lot of new insights.

In Inigo's life, he has suffered from physical and emotional injuries, family discrimination, embarrassment, and failure.

In his time of riches, he partied great but also suffered great. For example, in the start of the movie, he had lain with 2-3 prostitutes in a week, but suffered an injury that lasted months.

Meanwhile, in his time of poverty, he suffered non and was happier than sleeping with countless prostitutes.

Although he may have been prosecuted due to miscommunications, he was happy to serve the lady in heaven.

I have realized that it is only when we set aside our temptations and worldly belongings do we find true happiness. This true happiness is everlasting. This true happiness is unlimited. This true happiness is found in God.

RE 6 WHO AM I? MY IDENTITY FROM THE CUES OF ST. IGNATIUS FIRST PRINCIPLE

After reading the first principle of St. Ignatius, I have come to an understanding that I was born into this world to serve the sole purpose of praising, serving, worshiping, and glorifying God.

Through fulfilling this purpose, strengthening my faith, and staying true to God's word, I can attain eternal salvation. In living my life, I must do all things in the name of God.

Furthermore, I must disregard all wants for health, riches, and any other worldly pleasure, and submit myself fully to God alone.

In the end, I have realized that everything I do, whether big or small, I must prioritize God above myself for God created me this way.

RE 7 SEXUALITY AND INTIMACY

Sexuality and intimacy plays a big role in our lives, it helps us mature and understand better the world around us. It is not to be confused with sexual intercourse and lust, although related they are not the same.

Sexuality and intimacy is often taught to the youth to encourage open mindedness at an early age and to prepare them for what's ahead. It helps us understand who we really are, what role do we play in this world, how must we act in our society, and even how we treat other people. It provides benefits for our personal development and for the development of others.

On the other hand, others may say it's taught by men, but I believe that God gave us the basic knowledge of sexuality and intimacy through our parents only to be further enhanced through other people that we meet along the way.

Families are considered as the basic building blocks of communities and societies. It is also considered as the first melting pot that we encounter as soon as we are introduced into this world.

Families come in many shapes and sizes, my family is a mix of the normal couple and adoptive family because I am the biological son and my younger brother is adopted.

As for my family background, I came from a rather high-ranking bloodline since, as far as I remember, I am part of the Ferdinand Marcos bloodline because my grandmother [father's side] is a relative of the former president. As for my mother's side, I have a lot of relatives - often grandmothers and grandfathers - that are almost the same age as me.

I can say that I have bizarre grandparents from both of my parent's side because my grandmother's [father's side] name is Marta Carmelo Carmelo - yes, my grandmother only knew that she married her cousin on her wedding day - and one of my other grandfathers [mother's uncles] have 2 wives and 16 children.

After I met everyone, I came to realize that these gifts of family members and relatives are all from God.

In the end God gave us a family for companionship, guidance, and upraising to help us stand up by ourselves and fulfill our heavenly mission for eternal salvation.

RE 9 INTRODUCTION TO IGNATIAN SPIRITUALITY

After reading the selection on Ignatian Spirituality, I have realized that everything in this world counts - even the grains of sand in the dessert to the strands of hair on our head. It taught me 4 things these are;

(1) It taught me to see God in everything, even the ambiguous events that take place in our lives (or the unexpected). For a threat can be seen as an opportunity as long as we see God in it.

(2) It taught me to take my time. Slowing down helps us comprehend the fast. For supersonic speeds can only be recorded through a slow-motion camera.

(3) It taught me to be aware of everything around me. Being aware allows us to determine and 'comprehend the fast', and even identify the 'ambiguous ones'. For if a man walks towards the horizon with his eyes only set to it he will surely stumble.

(4) It taught me to seek those that bring me closer to God not the other way around. For it is only through forgetting the good things in this world do we find the best in God.

In the end, Ignatian Spirituality has taught me how to live my life - a faithful, meaningful, and God-centered life.
