Create an imaginary dance concept in your head for this. It can be about anything you want. Use that concept of a dance (so for me, it may be a tornado) to guide your concept of movements. Consider the idea of Space. Why would you want to use all of the available space on stage? How do you think it could be effective to NOT use all of the space on a stage? Is there a particular reason you would NOT want to use all of the space?
Respond to ALL of the above questions in sentence format. You should have two sentences per question above. You will later respond to at least on student and give feedback on their thoughts with your own thoughts.

you want to use all the available space on stage so you are able to keep the audience engaged and so they aren't looking at just one particular part of the stage for the whole dance. When you move around the whole stage, it keeps the audience interested as they are looking at every part of the stage. It could be effective to not use all of the space on stage if your dance routine requires you to be in one space for a specific reason. For example, if you are trying to tell a story or if you want the audience to focus on one thing on the stage. One reason you wouldn't use all of the space on the stage would be to keep up with whatever the theme is of your dance. For example, if your dance isn't really energetic, you might choose to stay in one space of the stage instead of going from one space to the next.

I would use all my space in dance because i wouldn't want to feel like i have to stay in one spot. You might need the extra space anyways. It would be effective to not use all the space because if i where on one side and i have something else happening on the other side. you just might not have to use it.

you want to use all the space in stage because some people want the dance to look like one instead of different people doing the same thing. It would be effective to not use all the space because then you would have more ideals to play wiith and do. The particular reason I would not want to use all the space because of ideals you can do while on stage.

For certain dances, I can see why all space on the stage would be ideal. The whole stage being full could be an excellent symbolism for chaos or disorder, or can create a beautiful display if all dancers are on stage covering each square, each preforming in sync. On the opposite side of the spectrum, not using all of the stage can be used to convey emotion as well. Not only could using all the stage become cluttered, but I can see this being an excellent action of symbolism. For instance, if you wanted to convey a feeling of loneliness, you could have only one dancer on the left side of the stage. Or on a similar note, you could have all dancers start on one side of the stage and then slowly drift away from one.

I would to know my surrounds and things like that.I think it could bee effectuve because it would look wrong for the aduience. You should use up all your space so u would look good. The particular reasons i would not use all the space is by letting your classmates have room to. You do want your aduience to think your over doing it.

I think it could be effective not to use all the space on stage because you could leave some for your peers. Yes, there is a particular reason I would not want to use all of my space, and that is because I wouldn't want to get in my peers peronal space.

I made the concept of a dancer about to lose her life due to an illness. The story would start by seeing the sick dancer and her dance friends around her. She will then "control" the other dancers to make this her last dance with her since she can't get out of the bed. She then will die and the other dancers will comfort each other and hug the sick dancer due to their loss. The "sick" dancer will start in the middle of the stage on a hospital bed. The other dancers will demonstrate how they are there in the room with her around her. The sick dancer will then move her arms to "control" the dancers to portray this being her last dance with her teammates. The teammates will dance all around the stage to portray that the sick dancer is actually happy. They will then get into the shape of a heart to portray her still being alive and they will make pulses with their bodies in the shape of a heart and when the sick dancer "dies" the dancers will make a straight line to resemble the heart rate and then it'll end with the teammates surrounding her with a group hug. I feel that this dance would be effective to use the whole stage because the teammates are representing this being their last dance with their sick teammate.

Armani Robinson- If i had to create a dance, it would be about a women's son that is at the age of 7 dying in her arms but she is really confused about if she should be happy because he is in a better place, or if she should be sad because he did not have a full life. I believe this should be a attention grabber. I would want different parts of the stage to be kind of dark in some places with smoke filling the air above the dancers and the other side to be bright and fill the air with positivity .

I would want to fill the whole stage up at certain times. I would not want to use all the space at one time because there are 2 sides of the story. One side is sad and the other is happy. I think using both sides at the same time would be very confusing and I want the audience to be focus on the main parts at the right time.
