Suddenly a pale man came in, with a long black beard and dressed in black. He looked like a serial killer and Paula wanted him didn’t sit down with her, but destiny had other plans. The man sat in front of Paula and Paula concealed her annoyance reading a book. “Hello I’m Paul” said the man. “Oh, hello” told Paula and she continued reading. "He really looks like a dangerous man, it is better not talk to him" Paula thought. But the man asked her all the time what her job is, where she lives… She was really uncomfortable trying not to give her too much information. He noted her discomfort "I'm sorry, I work in a funeral home and I don't usually talk to a lot of people obviously and I take advantage of these moments to talk and meet people," he said. Paula blushed and thought she had tried him ahead of time.

Finally, they talked about their lives and they discovered that they had many things in common, such as books, watching old movies and traveling knowing the history of each of the places. They exchanged phone numbers and promised to stay in touch.

The train was going to depart while Paula watched people looking for a seat, when Mrs. June appeared with two lovely cats, asking to share a compartment. By hearing Mrs. June’s sweet voice, Paula felt so good that she agreed to it. 

When Mrs. June had already sat down, Coco, the white cat, began to meow quite a bit and Paula started scratching it to get it calmed down til like falling asleep. Meanwhile, Paula told her how much she missed the cats that used to have when she was a child. However, at that time, she couldn't look after them because of work, as she had to travel frequently. 

After a while, the cat’s owner was amazed because Paula looked a lot like her daughter, without paying attention to a strange noise on the rails. However, Paula suspected something was wrong and asked Mrs. June to get off at the following stop to have a cup of tea together, and they did so.

Once they had changed their contacts, Mrs. June returned to the train station where she found out that her train was delayed due to an accident that had occurred just after they both had gotten off the train. Finally, Mrs. June called Paula to thank her for making her feel happy again and for having avoided suffering an accident, like the one that cut her daughter’s life in a train crash, some years ago. 

I entered the train. I didn’t want to talk with anybody so I was discarding seat after seat: “Nah,...nah...”. There were many people and I was just looking for a comfortable and isolated place when then, I looked up and I saw him, the best musician that Dublin has ever had: ‘John McQueen’, everybody who is from Dublin knows who he is. I was in awe! I sat down in front of him, not asking for permission.

I greeted him politely, and he replied to me with: “Hey bro!” I was just over the moon. We were talking for a long time about music, life,... everything. Suddenly, he realized that there were some lovebirds flirting on a train as he was a very observant person. He came up with an idea: improvise a song for them! He asked for my help, and I immediately accepted. In a few minutes, we would have our song ready to show. I would be his percussion.

1,2,3... “You look so happy, upon that train....”

After that, we came back to our own story and it could feel how a strong connection was growing between us more and more.

So that day, it seems Cupid touched that train to be enchanted. However, that day, actually, it was not about Paula and Michael, but John and I.

Paula got comfortable in her seat and she arranged her books on the table. Not only did shehate setting out on a trip by train, she bothered to share her space with somebody. The coaches were calmtherefore, Paula imagined she will spend the four hours alone. Suddenly, a little hand wrapped with a coloring glove left a paper on the her seat’s armrest. Paula stared at the glove’s owner and she thought ‘’ It’s a fake of the Swedish ecologist. ..I’ve seen the girl on Facebook...’’ and she read the paper loudly ‘’ Friday 25th Global Climate Strike in Dublin. The Organization Fridays for Future invites you to join together’’. The Irish activist took out her phone quickly and she started showing Paula lots of videos about Greta’s speeches and actions against planet pollution. Not until Paula watched those videos did she realized Greta Thunberg was a leader. ‘’She is more than a leader’’ Paula thought, ‘’She is a goddess’’. While Paula was absolutely out of it,the Irish girl had already satnext to herand she bragged about her relationship with Greta ‘’ I have a beetle named gretae and I will give it to Greta like a proof that I love she’’. Paula was confusing, but something started to grow up in her brain and, perhaps, in her heart. 

The Irish activist left the seat and Paula opened her laptop in order to look for the film ‘’I am Greta’’. After that, she started to dream with that young, rebellious and brave girl. 

“With due respect...” said Paula. “I'm allergic to cats.”

“Never mind! They're Persian cats and not produce allergies.”

“O... Okay. If you're sure of it...”

Paula's excuse did not work. The cat owner, a woman in her mid-sixties with a disturbing smile, took a seat. She introduced herself immediately and started talking about any trivial subject: weather, landscape, trains. On top of that, the cats gave off an unbearable smell. “What a journey awaits me” thought Paula; moreover, her “new friend” had told her that she was heading to Dublin too. The fact she was reading a book seemed not to mind the woman at all, who continued talking and talking.

Halfway, the train stopped abruptly. “Some rocks have fallen on the railway a mile later,” said a voice through the loudspeaker. “The incident will delay us a couple of hours. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

Paula couldn't believe she was so unlucky. On hour later, the train was still stopped and the cat owner kept talking. Suddenly, the woman's face turned serious. Silence. 
Paula, puzzled by the woman's attitude change, stared her.

“Have you ever fallen in love?

“Of course!” said Paula automatically.

“Have you really felt loved? Have you felt cared for?”

“Definet... Su... Surely... Probably. Who... Who are you?”

“It's just a woman who has not found true love yet that I am. My advice to you is to look for it until you're sure you've found it.”

Even today, several years later, those words continue to resonate in Paula's head. She has got a cat now. She feels free and hopeful.

The Nah boy insisted on searching for someone to find a solution. Paula found it a good idea and decided to do the same. However, they couldn’t. But, the train reviewer proposed to give them an extra ticket so they could go to a bathroom in a train station and catch the next train.

They agreed, so, when the train stopped, Paula and the Nah boy went to the station. After that, they waited together for the next train. Paula opened a medieval book, and the Nah boy told her he would participate as a figurant in Game of Thrones the following week. Afterwards, they started to talk about the Medieval Epoque. The conversation was fluid and they started to show feelings very quickly. Moreover, they recognized having urine incontinence.

When the train arrived, instead of catching it, they decided to escape together, as they needed to do their necessities again. And bathroom by bathroom they finally fall in love.
