My mother made a video call to me while I was struggling to choose a topic，she pointed out that I hadn't gained weight in my previous photo and that I should be managing my weight.

I knew in my heart that she was probably concerned, but in such a way that I couldn't accept it and felt anxious about myself.

So this reminds me of a Pixar animation: Turning Red

In this film, Mei and her mother have the same complicated but inseparable relationship, where the mother is strong and strict and the daughter is repressed.

However, unlike this film, Mei and her mother were eventually reconciled, but I was more interested in expressing how to reconcile with myself

Firstly, I used my photo as a reference because it is my personal experience.

Secondly, I wanted a design with rounded lines, and since the main topic is ‘fat’, I looked for references that used cute, non-sharp lines.

The film perfectly matches my vision of what the film presents, presenting a sense of melting colours

First, I also used my mom's photo as a reference, and her designs will match her daughter's.

Second, both of these animated characters are very representative of ‘strong mothers’ and provide a lot of references for moms' character design

Both films have a very ‘fat’ design, especially Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, where the main reference is the shape of the character's chin and balloon expansion.
