One might argue that the symbolization of mere fruits is nothing but sheer contrivance, but I humbly disagree. The fruits leaning on each other clearly convey togetherness and oneship, due to their leaning on each other it almost humanizes the fruits. The context must also be taken to account; what if they were going to be eaten, and are consoling each other in their last moments. The color of the picture, black and white, convey a melancholy expression, as if it’s telling the audience all hope is lost. Though the subject of the photo are just fruits, meaning and context can be drawn out of it through position and color.
