I have been a nurse since 2004, and I graduated form Grambling State University. I was a travel nurse for a long time berfore I settled down here in Texas. I have worked here at BSW for ten years, and my passion for education also devloped here while I was a clinical coach on stc2. I went to Grand Canyon University and recieved my Masters in nursing education in 2016, and I have worked as an adjunct educator at several of the local nursing schools. I am currently the nurse educator assigned to stc2, stc5, and the float pool. I also do the onboarding for all unlicensed assistive personnel (PCTs, nurse techs, & observers). I love to laugh and you will often find me smiling, but I take nursing education very seriously! LOL. Welcome everyone! I am proud to have been a part of this great institution since 1985.  I began my nursing career here on STC 2 as a Nurse Assistant Technician and then as an LVN.  After graduating from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in 1990, I joined the Surgical ICU in the ICU Internship.  I grew my nursing career there from an RN to an Assistant Nurse Manager.  In 2008 I began  as a part time educator progressing to full time that same year for the STICU, CTICU, MICU, RRT, and our Tele Techs.  Since 2017 I have focused on MICU and NsICU and added the NsPCU on 4 North in 2020 to my units.
