         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Search and find 1920s "Cistern Pump" and "commode chair". What are they and what does their availability tell you about many Canadian homes even in the 1920s. Cistern Pump are water pump but you have to pump it out by hands and they are mostly used for washing and laundry also they have limited source of water. Commode chair are like toilet but it only have toilet seat and chair and it must be clean every time when you finish using it.<br><br>2. The 1920s brought the introduction of electricity into most homes in Canadian Cities. Find examples of at least 5 new electric appliances/household products invented in the Roaring 20s. The 5 electric appliances/household brought into 1920s is washing machine, vacuum, toaster, radio and electric lighting.<br><br>3. Why were ice cream considered "novelties" in the 20s and find an example? They were considered novelties because ice cream was new in Canada and it became popular.<br><br>4. Who was Armand Bombardier? What did he invent? Armand Bombardier is French-Canadian inventor and businessman and he invent snowmobile.</div>]]></description>
