In 1860 Otto von Bismarck the prime minister over Prussia won 3 battles again Denmark, Austria, and France. After the defeat of France he brought the small German states and made then apart of Prussia. All the small German states unified under Otto von Bismarck and followed the constitution made by him. This led to the creation of the German Empire.

This video explains the Haitian revolution and how the slaves revolted against the French. The Saint Domingue colony was a island held by the French who brought African slaves over too farm the plantations and crops. The slaves decided to start a revolution against the French who help the island. During this revolution a man named Toussaint Louverture was sent over from France to get everything under control and free the slaves in his army. He becomes the man who abolishes slavery all together in Haiti and is a huge roll in Haiti gaining independence.

Slaves and captives in Haiti decided in 1791 too organize a revolution. Haiti later became the first country founded by former slaves. Toussaint Overture was a man sent by France too get everything under control and free the slaves in his army. He ends up abolishing slavery for good in Haiti. In 1804 France lost the revolution and was kicked out of Haiti.

This video covers how during the Napoleonic wars and other events and wars Italy was unified and becomes its own country. A man named Giuseppe Mazzini was a Italian politician and journalist who was the spearhead in the Italian revolution movement. Mazzini was a radical who wanted Italy to become a republic he was also a idealist who refused to compromise. A war with Austria started were they were defeated by France and Prussia becuase of Austria's defeat Italy gained 2 more states from Sardinia. Sardinia also handed over another 2 states to Italy for the unification. Finally in the Franco-Prussian war Italy gained control of Rome and is now its capital.

In 1859 Sardinia and France defeated Austria which had occupied parts of northern Italy. Sardinia gave away Lombardy and Veneto after Austria was defeated. The Two Sicily's and most of the Papal states were also given away. In 1861 Victor Emmanuel was named king of Italy. Rome was also given to Italy and later named its capital.
