I use an assessment that I design that aligns with a concept that I am teaching.

I choose the concept from the ones that MLs traditionally struggle with. I begin with a pretest, they learn/practice the concept and refer back to it regularly, especially doing bell ringers. I choose students based on factors like numbers and skill level. They are then tested with the same assessment that was given to them.

I am using the letters training as my professional goal on my GBE. I use iReady for my other goal. I pick an area that they are low in across the board and one grade level and focus on growth for that year.

Pre-Test / Post-Test

With my class being a graded elective, I use the final exam I created as a pre-test and post-test. It's a combination of vocabulary and grammar topics we study throughout the semester.

iReady at least 75% of all my students will meet their goal.
