In my opinion not they did not do the right thing.Thougth others may disagree lying about loosing something owned by someone else is not good.To be honest I think it would have gone better if they did tell the true.One theme for the story "The Necklace" could posible be "Honest is the best thing to be".As show in the text do to them being un-honest caused them to loose thousands of fance .This is why I believe they did not do the action they should have

I think that Madame Loisel did the right thing when they found out that the necklace was missing because when you loose or brake something that isn’t yours you should give them the money to replace it or you replace it yourself. This is why I think that Mademe Loisel did the right thing by replacing the necklace.

Well in my opinion I think that Madame Loisel and her husband they did not do the right actions. I think this because if they had told Madame Forestier maybe she would understand of Madame Loisel’s mistake. The text claims “ You must write to your friend, tell her you have broken the clasp of her necklace and that you are having it mended. It would give us some time to look some more”. This shows that they were lying and not saying the truth.

I think they did not do the right thing, because instead of buying a new necklace that cost them a lot of money and years to pay they should’ve told the truth. In the end it says that her friend told them necklace was an imitation and since they weren’t honest they ended up giving her something overpriced.

Yes madame Loisel and her husband did the right thing because they had the right to return the necklace of her friend. In the text it claims that madame Loisel borrowed the necklace from her friend. This explains how it’s the property of her friend. Also the text states that madame Loisel was worried after they lost it. This shows how madame Loisel thought of the value of the necklace and may have overreacted. This proves why madame Loisel and her husband did the right thing because they had the right to return the necklace of her friend.

Yes and <del>no</del>. Madame Loisel and her husband did the right thing, only because they did try to rush to find the necklace. They went to cab companies, they went to the Ministry, maybe... and they went to every cab to see if it was the same one. They DIDNT DO THE RIGHT RESPONSIBLE THING by wasting 10 horrible years of their life trying to pay for a new one instead of going up to her and telling the straight up truth. ;-;

To be honest, in my opinion I don’t know if they made a good choice. If I was them, I would first tell them that it’s missing before I get a new necklace. After waiting all those years to save up enough money to buy a necklace, it was not worth it knowing that it was a fake necklace. So, I think that they made a bad choice. They even wrote a letter to Madame Forestier. In conclusion, I think that they made a bad choice and that they could’ve handled the situation better.
