These patrols have been going on for a while and this has been an ongoing problem as his hate connects to family feuds. Therefore, this quote shows conflict in the short story "Interlopers" because it gives the reader a clear insight on the tension between the two characters. On one side, Georg has been hunting for a while on Ulrich's land and Ulrich has been patrolling through his land looking to murder the man hunting his game. Explanation: This shows conflict because we see Ulrich's problem with Georg Znaeym. Georg's family is always poaching off of Ulrich's family without permission and hasn't paid any repercussions. They also never wanted to go to court which infuriated Ulrich's family even further.
