I have been thinking over and over whether in Vietnamese or English that I should write my HPBD letter. Eventually, I chose English as it would be special for your special 18th birthday. I don't know if you would feel this letter cliché huhu cause my writing is bad bad =(( but not gonna lie this is my first letter for a friend ever to be written in English, and you know it should hit different.

It feels just exactly like yesterday since we befriended at the Thai restaurant when I was “wtf ur so bright and white” hâhhaha. Through the past four months, I have seen an “unyielding” Thái Dương making herself on the curve with every single mod. I have met a dear and "mother-vibe" friend who will to go with the change proposed by Christy though she might not prefer it, and most importantly, I have found a hall-mate, BEST STUDY-MATE EVER, eat-mate, lol sleep-mate also, that I could share to my parents in everyday call with excitement. Trust me, I have never expected to have a friend like that before, and now you are the one. I am fortunate to meet such a thought-profound friend like you, Thái Dương. Thank you for being my mate.

Now at this threshold of adulthood (sounds so literary this is not Christy lol), as you set aside for a while your biz brothers and step into this new chapter of life, I just want you to know how incredibly special and inspiring you are. For me turning 18 isn’t something to toss and turn, perhaps because I have experienced it far away from home. Yet I am aware that to you, this isn't just a number; it's a set of experiences, lessons, laughter, and tears that you have woven into the fabric of your existence. Honestly, my words and feelings might not be enough to describe how the change should be, but I have met your self-writing moment for the day you will be turning 18, and have heard of how you realized that you yourself embarked on positive changes over time. I love how you thrived to be more open to everyone but still kept in your soul a viable inner child, because in the end, that’s what I'm looking forward to as a bare human.

Dear Thái Dương, there’s something I hope to see in her year of 18. I hope you find love for your body and soul too. I don’t know how you often treat yourself, but lol try to cry more as you need to cause it’s healing. Though it might be tough sometimes, just don’t blame your body, call your hall-mate instead.

I hope you let yourself be more free. This is what I have to learn too, how about we do this together?

Your hall-mate, Christy, wishes you a best best year of 18. Just want to remind you that it's so lucky to celebrate your birthday at home hehe

By the way, see you in the next study session!

Christy

There is also something I want to share here. But not suitable for a birthday. Kindly view it after today
