This type of media is a health video. It is specific for 1st-grade students. It discusses different precautions to take for items involving fire, scissors, electricity in the bathroom, strangers, etc. I can use it in my classroom when discussing the right and wrong things to do in harmful situations. This correlates with the Alabama Course of Study (ALCOS) I have identified above because it goes into detail on ways to respond in various situations. This media met my selection criteria because it is a colorful and intriguing video that seemingly will keep the attention of students. It also includes rational and accurate information understandable for this specific age group.
