Although LOTF hypothesizes that immediately upon being isolated from society, humans will immediately regress to their natural, savage state, this is not necessarily the case. Humans are fundamentally social creatures. Since survival is m ore likely when humans collaborate, they have evolved to band together, especially in scenarios that are dangerous and difficult. Even after being separated from society, humans will most likely band together in tribes and share resources. They will probably form a new societal structure and belief system based around their situations.

Fear is a very powerful emotion. It can have both positive and negative effects on people. Without fear, people wouldn't have the ability to progress and grow. Many people change themselves or society because of their fears, whether it be a fear of being outcast, or a fear of anarchy. Of course, not all changes that people make will be positive. While some people are encouraged and motivated by their fears, others can be overwhelmed by them. This may lead people to avoid them, or potentially even take harmful measures to combat them.

Fear has a lot of power of humans. We all fear something, even if we overcome one of our fears, it seems as if there is a new fear right there. Many people have different definitions of 'power', power could be described as wanting control or even just being involved in something. The power that fear holds is much greater than we realize. The power that fear holds can push people to do things out of their comfort zones, and that can be taken as a good or bad thing. Fear can make people make decisions that aren't necessarily good for their well being or their future. A lot of us try and ignore our fears, but we all realize that they are there.

Whether it is by ruling/holding power over a group of people, one person, or even an animal, humans innately like to hold some sort of power.

Not all humans are inherently evil, but some very much are. There is scientific evidence to suggest that there are common brain wave patterns between human beings that have committed heinous of "evil" acts such as violent crimes and 🤬. When compared, the brain scans of these violent offenders tend to show similar patterns that have been present since birth. More often than not, these criminals lack an area of the brain called the orbital cortex that regulates moral thinking. It has also been proven that it is possible to genetically pass down this propensity for evil through family lineage. That said, having a brain that is predisposed for evil does not make one evil. For example, neuroscientist James Fallon discovered that he was genetically predisposed for evil. When he looked at his own scan, he matched that of killer
Lizzie Bordon (a direct descendant of his). Yet instead of being a killer, he became a brain surgeon with world renown. This suggests that it is possible to overcome this inherent evil through nurture.

Power is what most of us strive for, in one way or another. This could simply be a need for individual agency, which allows one to make attempts to carry out their own goals, but with possible setbacks from others around you, that personal control may feed into a want for control of a subgroup or clique, and through this they may realize that power will get them what they want and it will help achieve the goals they have been striving for. With larger societies, in regards to spreading your ideals and achieving your goals, individual power and control holds less importance, since the others around you can be influenced by many other factors aside from yourself. This means that in order to carry out your own ideals, you must gain a following and persuade others to follow your lead. On top of this, t
