         <description><![CDATA[<p>Greece managed to shift mathematical situations called practical calculations to theoretical proof-based reasoning. Greece was the most advanced, making world maps in 600 BCE. They also made the adoption of the Phoenician alphabet which is the foundation of our modern alphabet. A Greek philosopher named Socrates created the Socrates method in western philosophy. Greece created the very first temples and created elements such as Doric or Ionic. The Greece civilization also managed to win the Trojan War against the city of Troy.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Ancient Greeks Power and Society</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The economy of the Ancient Greeks used to make their wealth was trade, agriculture and their use of natural resources. The trade was mostly made on the Mediterranean and Black seas because they were easy to navigating. After they would receive the goods from the other colonies, Ancient Greeks were then traded at home and abroad. Over seas trade, boosted the trade and cultural diffusion, or the spread of ideas from one culture to another. They utilized natural resources like silver, marble, clay, and fertile land to help expand the land. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Ancient Greek politics was diverse, with different city states experimenting with various forms of government. A monarchy, a government ruled by a single person, such as a king. Another form wan an Aristocracy, a government ruled by a small group of elite, landowning families. Sometimes powerful men took advantage of the situation and took power as tyrants. In order to take power from tyrants, merchants formed an oligarchy, or a government ruled by a few powerful citizens. City states such as Athens, wanted to give citizens a greater voice and began to experiment with a new type of government.</p>]]></description>

Oral traditions such as the poem Iliad and Odyssey are one the religious beliefs that ancient greeks had.</p><p>Homers epic poems dramatized how gods and goddesses influenced the lives of humans. They also helped establish the characteristics of Greek gods and goddesses. The Iliad and the Odyssey followed a strong Greek storytelling tradition that mixed history, religion, and fantasy. The ancient Greeks believed in many gods, goddesses, monsters, and heroes. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
