It is meaningful to me because ELAR is the foundation of every subject. English is something you have to know in order to be successful in everyday life. Although reading has been a struggle of mine in the past, it has brought more meaning to me knowing I can truly help my students and relate to them with my past struggles. This part has always been designated for reading and learning how to comprehend. Literature is fun because it is where you can read old books and make connections in everyday life. Literature was one of my favorite parts of ELAR growing up. Looking at the picture you can see there is a lot to literature, there are plays, history, old literature, books, and so much more.
