How often do you look at yourself in a mirror? (Why/Why not?)

This question is actually super relatable to me! I'm just the same as any other teenager girl, and I will look at any mirror around me to see how I'm looking at the moment, whether I’m looking like a ghost or whether I look like I've just woken up. You see, gradually appearance starts to matter and it feels necessary checking the mirror to see if the reflection is really the one you want to see. To be honest, looking at a mirror is just another chance to point out my insecurities, because there’s always something in the mirror that looks wrong to me. I mean, it's pretty unhealthy being obsessed with a too ideal version of your face. So, I watch myself constantly, to see if my hair is like a bird’s nest and groom myself.

Would you like to learn more about art in the future? (why/Why not?)

Not gonna lie, I’m not a great fan of art, or the analysis of art. I just think it’s too philosophical and hard to make ends meet from it. Art, in my opinion, is heavily based on talent, so even if you try really hard to study art, you still need to have that thread of innate ability inside you. Plus, the analysis of art is just somehow multifaceted. I want things straight and easy to understand, while art can be understood from multiple perspectives and it’s really perplexing. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy art. I’ve liked art for a long time now, but I just don’t want to spend more time on it.

Do you like taking photos of yourself? (Why/why not?)

If you give me a dollar for each time I take a selfie, I will definitely become a billionaire. I think it’s just fun trying out new poses and seeing how I look from a phone’s perspective, because every typical girl like me would do that, and sometimes I would spend like 10 minutes performing a cheap photoshoot by myself and keep the best picture of me while the ugly ones go in the trash storage. Not gonna lie, looking good in your photos or selfies really boosts your confidence, and it certainly practices the skills you need to be more photogenic when you take pictures with your friends. It would be quite a huge flex!

Would you generally prefer to be a driver or a passenger in a car? (Why/why not?)

Before I answer this question, may you consider the fact that I do not drive. I’m underage for driving and certainly have no interest in getting a driver's license, although my parents keep telling me to get one when I’m older. Personally, even if I can drive, I’d be better off as a passenger, because I can’t bear the responsibility that everyone puts on you when you drive. Like, the driver is responsible for everyone’s safety, and I hate the feeling of blame being put on you, and I’m also scared of crashing everyone into an accident!

While it is a common assumption that studying more subjects <s>results in all-rounder students</s> 💥 VC: "all-rounder" hơi thông tục -> produces well-rounded individuals, skeptics argue that passion is what <s>should matter more to learn efficiently</s> 💥 GR: cấu trúc lủng củng -> matters most for effective learning. This essay will analyze these contrasting views before giving my opinion, which posits that the key lies not in favoring one side over another but in striking a balance between societal requirements and personal preferences to <s>wisely guide society towards the greater good</s> 💥 VC: vague -> effectively steer society toward collective progress.

Advocates of studying a wide range of subjects claim that <s>well-rounded education helps students develop diverse skill sets, thus fosters adaptability and nurtures versatile individuals</s> 💥 GR: thiếu song song ngữ pháp -> a well-rounded education develops diverse skills, fostering adaptability and nurturing versatility <s>when it is their time to change the world</s> 💥 VC: phóng đại -> as they prepare to contribute to society. It is the societal demand for expertise across multiple fields that encourages schools to provide an interdisciplinary curriculum to equip their students, making this approach common in many countries. Admittedly, while this <s>interconnected network of subjects</s> 💥 VC: -> broad curriculum may not cater to individual preferences and <s>overwhelm students with a heavy workload</s> 💥 VC: cụm từ ổn nhưng có thể sắc hơn -> burden students with excessive demands, it generally ensures a foundational knowledge base that can broaden students’ perspectives on the world. <s>Interdisciplinary knowledge is like a web threaded with multiple viewpoints</s> 💥 VC: ẩn dụ hay nhưng hơi lạc tone học thuật -> Interdisciplinary knowledge weaves together diverse perspectives. <s>The more connections it forms, the deeper the understanding of various concepts becomes</s> 💥 GR: câu ổn nhưng dài dòng -> Greater connections deepen conceptual understanding. As long as students still benefit from this approach to education, it is <s>still far from possible to deny the advantages of taking multiple classes and abolish it</s> 💥 GR: cấu trúc vụng -> far too beneficial to dismiss outright.

Conversely, proponents of education tailored to individual preferences maintain that it is passion, not obligation, that <s>fuels the mind</s> 💥 VC: hình ảnh tốt nhưng cần cân nhắc tone -> drives learning. Instead of <s>cramming a heavily interdisciplinary timetable into a young teenager’s agenda</s> 💥 VC: cụm từ hơi dài dòng -> overloading teenagers with a packed schedule, educators can aim for a specialized curriculum that helps students focus on their strengths <s>in order to increase productivity</s> 💥 VC: cụm từ ổn nhưng chung chung -> to maximize their potential, as society benefits more from individuals who are proficient and passionate about what <s>they’re pursuing</s> 💥 VC: từ ổn nhưng có thể thay bằng "their fields" cho cụ thể. <s>We need not look further than the case of the Vietnamese education system for this</s> 💥 GR: cấu trúc hơi lủng củng -> The Vietnamese education system illustrates this well. Three bus stops flanked either side of this entrance and a shared car park for both employees and the public occupied the south‑east corner of the site.

By 2010, traffic management had improved. Two roundabouts were inserted: one at the junction of Hospital Road and City Road and another where the approach meets the ring. The six scattered bus bays were consolidated into a purpose‑built bus station to the west, connected directly to both new roundabouts. By comparison, the original parking area was redesignated for staff only, while a new, far larger public car park was laid out to the east of the ring road.

Collectively, these modifications clarified traffic lanes, reduced congestion and provided facilities that are now broadly in line with the needs of distinct user groups.

My mom loved movies, so although we didn’t go to the cinema a lot when I was young, (of course not or else our wallets will rip) she downloaded movies from the Internet and let us watch them. It was like a housemade cinema spot, and we would usually stay up until 1 am to finish the films. Unfortunately, lately we don’t have enough time for this because everyone is so busy with their schedules, so I hope we can still watch movies like we did a long time ago.

What do you usually do when an advertisement comes on TV or the internet?

Here’s a quick overview of how I react when the advertisement comes on TV. First, I turn the volume down, next, I cover my ears and my eyes, or I will switch channels. That was a bit of overreacting but let me state this, I particularly HATE ads. I know they’re targeted for young kids with those visuals, but I’m not a young kid anymore, so I find them extra cringe and ridiculous. Guess what? I once saw an ad for a milk brand with a cow cosplay literally dancing with the children, and it totally wasn’t marketing. It was like, second hand embarrassment to me. To be honest, I couldn’t believe I used to wait for ads to appear on my parents’ news channels long ago!

Do you read more or less now than when you were younger? (Why?)

Personally, this question depends on whether I’m on a reading craze, which happens once or twice every year. Long ago, I had much more time for reading, so it was my favorite hobby and I would spend hours doing it. But now, most of my reading is homework from school, which is kind of forced, and I don’t have access to many physical books. Nevertheless, my reading interests are what I’m most proud of. I used to read random or famous books, and never really discovered any specific genre I liked. I’ve just recently found out that I had a thing for romantasy and fiction, and that just boosts my time spent on reading!

What kinds of things do you think you’re good at? (Why?)

Personally, this question is really puzzling to me, because I have no idea what I’m actually good at. My mom always says that I’m a fast learner, and it doesn’t take really long for me to get the hang of something, so if I follow her logic, I could learn almost anything. But in my opinion, I’m not a natural at logical subjects like math or science, although I’m passionate about it. It’s so challenging compared to subjects like literature or social studies, probably because I function more on my right brain.

Have you kept many things from your childhood? (Why/Why not?)

Of course I do! I usually keep things such as my teddy bear, old notebooks, and some toys from when I was small, probably because I inherited that habit from my mom. I guess I just like holding on to some memories, because some things feel too special to be thrown away! But I try not to keep so much, or else I’m gonna wind up being a hoarder with bunches of random junk or nostalgic clutter.

Do you usually wear a watch now? (Why/Why not?)

I remember the time when I was 6 years old, and that was when bulky, huge watches that function just like phones were trending. I wanted to catch up with the fashion, so I begged my parents to buy me one. But because that watch was super oversized compared to my wrist, it soon became unused, and it was a huge waste of money. That was when I stopped using watches, I suppose so, but as I grew older, I admit I cannot live without knowing the time. I now have a Casio watch, which I wear it so much it must be my signature style, and to be honest, it always comes in handy.

From here, the broken plant material is <s>transformed into cellulose</s> 💥 sc: cây vốn chứa cellulose, nên “processed to release cellulose”, which is then chemically processed to extract sugars.

Following this, microbes are added to convert the sugars into ethanol. Once ethanol has <s>been produced</s> 💥 vt: bỏ “been” để gọn , it is distributed <s>among multiple transportation vehicles</s> 💥 wc: thừa “transportation” for utilization in cars, trucks, and planes. Once fully grown, they are harvested and sent to a shredder, where the material is reduced to small fibres. These fibres are then heated with acids and enzymes to liberate cellulose, which is hydrolysed further to produce fermentable sugars.

In the next stage, specific microbes are introduced; over several hours they ferment the sugars, yielding a mixture that contains a mere 8‑10 % ethanol. This liquid is distilled to separate water, after which anhydrous ethanol is obtained.

Finally, the purified fuel is dispatched to filling stations and loaded into cars, lorries and even aircraft. Combustion in these engines releases CO₂ back into the air, but the gas is swiftly re‑captured by new vegetation, keeping net emissions broadly in line with a sustainable carbon balance.

Describe a person who inspired you to do something interesting

If you’ve known me for most of my life, you’ll know that the hobbies I take up are usually to benefit myself or due to my competitive nature. By the end of last year, I’ve realized that most of the girls in my grade had already learned how to crochet, while I couldn’t do anything with a simple string of yarn, so I felt so small and talentless. But alas, my brain wouldn’t let me stop brushing this off; maybe I was overreacting, but not knowing something is like a shame. And there’s a friend of mine named Ngân, who has inspired me into crocheting that seems insignificant but relaxing.

Ngân, if I have to describe her appearance, she’s a cute girl with tanned skin and a button nose. She has a good style of fashion, and is really talented at artistic things like drawing and painting. I wasn’t very close to her, but she’s super kind, by the way, and is sunshine in human form. When I first saw her crocheting something, I thought that it was useless and a waste of effort, but I was totally wrong. Until she convinced me to join the Crochet club, I was always laid-back and conservative about actually crocheting something.

When I was somehow successfully ‘gaslighted’ into the club, I suddenly found out that crocheting wasn’t that boring at all. Who would think that crocheting might be satisfying? My family wasn’t really into weaving or sewing as a hobby, although handicraft was a traditional custom of Vietnamese women long ago to make clothes. I know that now, it doesn’t matter much if you can handmade something if it’s already best-selling in the markets, but learning to crochet really lets me understand the phrase “Everything you make with your hands is magic.” And for Ngân, I asked her everything I could for tips and tricks, and she didn’t gatekeep! Instead, she told me a whole tutorial like a machine. It’s mesmerizing to see her crochet, by the way, because her stitches are really pretty and neat, unlike mine, and she always ends up with a successful product while I’m still struggling to handle a double crochet stitch! Crazy thing is, crochet has now been a hobby of mine, and I do it quite often. I’ll have to thank Ngân for meticulousness and patience for teaching me this then!

Task 2: The working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. Do you agree or disagree?

In the age where overwork is glamorized and exhaustion is normalized, the idea of extending the weekend to shorten the working hours is not only desirable but undeniably essential. Despite critics’ concerns surrounding the potential economic downturn from the reduction of working hours, I strongly believe that the workers’ personal lives and well-being are equally important when it comes to promoting work-life balance, as well as sustaining long-term productivity and societal health.

One practical argument in favor of longer weekends aligns with the improved social bonds that they bring. With increasing competition and societal pressures to make ends meet, regardless of economic background, work is not just a choice but an indispensable necessity. Many workers and companies are so deeply entrenched in the belief that longer working hours equate to enhanced productivity that they spend most of their time relentlessly working in the hope of higher salaries, possibly neglecting their own personal lives. In the face of deteriorating social relationships and inadequate resting time, longer weekends are becoming a feasible solution adopted by many progressive companies, allowing employees to reconnect with their families and rebuild social bonds. Unlike the monotonous workaholics who spend hours under their tiring office lights, individuals granted with this additional time can redirect their energy towards social life and revitalization, ultimately improving mental well-being and job satisfaction. To exemplify, Microsoft Japan tested a four-day work week trial without any reduction in remuneration for employees. The project revealed significant outcomes: workers were not only happier, but the company’s productivity boosted by a staggering 40%, reflecting a positive correlation between job satisfaction and productivity. Such evidence suggests that valuing personal time does not undermine output, but rather enhances it. Unless society can formulate a method that makes employees both content and efficient while still subjecting them to the excessive workload, extending the weekends remains one of the most promising and humane solutions.

Conversely, the argument against longer weekends is rooted in concerns over productivity, asserting that this method can, if not rapidly, insidiously reduce overall efficiency and harm the economy. Critics even claim that it can reduce earnings for workers due to shorter working time, affecting their financial stability and placing more pressure on low-income families. Yet, these assumptions are deeply misguided and only reinforce the conventional notion that longer working hours equate to enhanced productivity. There is no such thing as a direct correlation between longer hours and better performance, because productivity requires intensive focus time, well-being, and working conditions rather than time spent at a desk. Moreover, increased productivity can justify higher remuneration for workers while simultaneously boosting job satisfaction, creating a mutually beneficial cycle for both employers and employees. In reality, even if extending the weekend does not fully maximize productivity, it fosters a healthier, more sustainable work environment that emphasizes the balance between work and life for many individuals.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that productivity is not merely a matter of working hours, but is highly influenced by the mental well-being and job satisfaction of employees. After all, life is not solely about meeting deadlines - it is about living meaningfully both inside and outside the workplace.

It is important for everyone, including young people, to save money for their future. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Given the increasingly unpredictable economic landscape, opinions about whether all individuals should save money for their future to prevent unprecedented situations vary. While it is a consensus that saving money offers security in the face of financial uncertainty, critics argue that spending on recreation is equally essential for leading a fulfilling life. I believe that although the idea of retail therapy and expenditure is indeed appealing, saving money is undeniably a promising strategy that lays a foundation for long-term stability and financial independence.

One practical argument in favor of saving money is that it allows individuals to handle unforeseen financial emergencies, when immediate access to funds is essential. When individuals are self-sufficient for these perilous situations, they will not rely excessively on others for financial matters, such as their family and friends. As everything can turn upside down in the blink of an eye, periods of economic downturn or financial instability are indeed inevitable; hence it is preferable to not indulge in reckless spending without proper regulation and wise management. Added to this is the healthy habit that carefully controlled spending may instill, creating a sustainable cycle that prioritizes needs over wants, especially for teenagers, who are associated with exploration and impulsive decisions. The importance of financial security is most compelling when we consider the 2008 financial crisis, when many young individuals faced sudden unemployment and chaos. Undoubtedly, those without beforehand savings struggled to afford basic commodities, having to rely on family support and falling into long-term debt. In these situations, it becomes crucial to evaluate every spending decision carefully, whether for essential needs or discretionary pleasures, to ensure long-term stability.

Conversely, the argument against saving money is rooted in concerns over the lack of present enjoyment and personal fulfillment. Additionally, extreme skeptics even claim that excessive saving can lead to a joyless, overly cautious lifestyle that deprives individuals of meaningful life experiences. Yet, these are all assumptions; as the fulfillment of one’s life does not necessarily rely on spending money. In reality, saving money is not about being tightfisted, but rather about exercising foresight and self-control to secure stability. Moreover, financial security gained through saving can enhance one’s ability to enjoy life without the constant stress and uncertainty. By setting aside money for the future, individuals are allowed to make choices based on desire instead of desperation.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that saving money is the least a person can do when it comes to spending habits and financial assurance. Admittedly, although being hesitant to purchase your desired items at a store is disheartening, the restraint you exercised today might save you from potential financial hardship in the future.

Similarly, despite a slow start in 1970, Indonesia gathered momentum at an unprecedented rate, climbing from 10% to 50% in 2020, with projections indicating it will gradually narrow the gap with Malaysia by 2040.

Conversely, Thailand and the Philippines exhibited different demographic trends. In contrast to Malaysia’s explosive growth, the Philippines lost momentum after 1990, with its urban population growth rate slowing noticeably. Thailand, while initially lagging behind noticeably, experienced a sharp rise after 2000 but is projected to stay behind the others through 2040.

As globalization becomes prevalent and cultural homogenization is increasingly apparent in some areas, it is a reasonable consensus to retain indigenous languages. However, when it comes to whether governments should spend public money on saving minor languages or allocate funds in other aspects, the debates have been particularly intense. This essay will analyze these contrasting views before asserting that while saving an endangered language is morally justified, I believe that decisions regarding public funding must be guided by practical considerations such as

the country’s specific priorities and available resources.

Advocates supporting the preservation of minor languages often emphasize that culture is vital to a society’s identity and continuity. As a result of this unwavering significance, when a language dies, centuries of oral tradition, unique customs, and heritage that its ancestors have constructed fade into insignificance. Therefore, it is widely accepted that the government has the moral obligation to be directly involved in the recovery of these languages, just as they invest in protecting historical monuments and national art forms. Governmental support can fund initiatives aimed at language recovery, such as attracting tourists through global recognition or implementing language immersion programs. For example, when the New Zealand government implemented language preservation policies that required compulsory education of the Maori language, the efforts have led to a gradual increase in the number of speakers and a cultural revival of Maori identity. Such evidence proves that while revitalizing a minor language poses initial challenges, the enduring benefits for cultural preservation and community identity can still justify its original costs, even if it means diluted focus on some of the government’s priorities. Nevertheless, our current generation bears the moral responsibility to ensure cultural diversity, and no effort to revive a language should be considered wasted, regardless of the obstacles it entails.

Conversely, proponents of allocating resources on other areas instead of language revival maintain that pressing issues, such as healthcare, infrastructure, and education, should be placed at the forefront of national priorities. In essence, saving endangered languages can be likened to an unsustainable undertaking as language loss amidst globalization is inevitable, especially when only a negligible number of speakers remain. Even with the government intervention, languages can still simply cease to exist without genuine enthusiasm from the youth, a practical problem that many authorities fail to recognize in their preservation initiatives. Moreover, some warn of the dangers in desperate attempts to save minor cultures, particularly cultural exploitation and commercialization through excessive branding, a misguided act used by several businesses that reduces heritage as a mere tool for profit. Given finite public resources, it is more pragmatic to prioritize other initiatives with immediate social impact.

In conclusion, while preserving a language serves a valuable cultural purpose, its practical implementation ultimately depends on a country’s priorities and financial resources. I strongly believe that governments should not be expected to carry this burden alone, as meaningful preservation requires grassroots involvement such as community engagement and education, not just criticism of authorities. A balanced approach would be to ensure that cultural preservation does not come at the cost of societal needs.

The provided bar chart illustrates the number of US households categorized by income in 2007, 2011, and 2015. Overall, it is evident that households at both ends of the income spectrum saw increases in number, indicating growing polarization in remuneration. Meanwhile, the middle-income groups ranging from $50,000 to $99,999 remained relatively stable throughout the period.

In 2007, the income group earning $100,000 or above ranked first, having the largest number of households at around 30 million. This figure is followed by households gaining between $25,000 and $49,999, despite their significantly lower income, while the under-$25,000 group stood at around 25 million. By 2015, the highest income group remained dominant, having grown remarkably since 2011 at around 33 million, while the lower income categories – despite their earlier rise – declined slightly.

While the income landscape shifted notably at both ends of the income spectrum, middle-income households showcased minimal change. Those belonging to the $50,000-$74,999 bracket witnessed little to no growth, only hovering above 20 million households. Similar trends were observed in the $75,000-$99,999 group, which experienced negligible fluctuations and remained below the 15 million threshold.

An increasing number of professionals, such as doctors and teachers, are leaving their own poorer countries to work in developed countries. What problems does this cause? What can be done to deal with this situation?

With no end to the ongoing rise in the migration of skilled professionals from poorer countries to more developed countries, much discussion has been rightly devoted to understanding the root causes of this issue. If left unaddressed, this problem will deepen the global imbalance between rich and poor nations, as under-resourced countries keep lagging behind in terms of professional skills while wealthier ones continue to thrive. This essay will analyze the impacts of this pressing issue and propose alternative solutions to enhance the retention of skilled workers in their home countries.

The failure to promote national involvement from educated individuals is rooted in a complex interplay of factors, but can be attributed primarily to the prevalent brain drain phenomenon. This occurs when skilled professionals migrate to developed countries in pursuit of maximized career potential and financial success, as their home nations often fail to provide adequate working conditions for them to thrive. It is indeed paradoxical that, while poorer countries are desperately in need of professional workers, their inability to catch up with modern working trends directly discourages these highly trained people from staying. The migration of intelligent individuals has a profound impact on the nation, depriving them of talent to invigorate change. This problem is most compelling when critical sectors such as healthcare and education are considered: chronic staff shortages, especially of highly educated ones, affect the quality of social services provided to future generations. Without proper investment in retention strategies to improve local opportunities, developing countries risk falling into the cycle of limited competence. The brain drain also exacerbates the entrenched inequalities between the affluent and the poor, leaving vulnerable communities without aid or essential support, while developed societies keep depending on the foreign workforce. The combination of these factors underscores the urgent need for change; without intervention, societal gaps will continue to deepen, threatening global development and sustainable progress.

At the heart of the combat against brain drain is the need to improve working conditions and job incentives to retain talent. Higher salaries, opportunities for professional growth, and better infrastructure are the least countries can do to promote participation from these citizens in national development and enhance the appeal of jobs. This can be exemplified by the case of the Philippines' nursing boom, where the nation experienced a “brain gain” in nursing as more people were offered special tax breaks and leadership positions, encouraging many to ‘invest’ their expertise in local sectors. To achieve this end, various stakeholders, including the government, citizens, and even international authorities, must join hands to tackle this issue lest it continue to escalate. Additionally, more ethical and inclusive policies should be implemented to safeguard workers’ rights and ensure fair treatment. Unless countries strive collectively to boost domestic retention by providing ideal working conditions for their citizens, they risk perpetuating the peril of brain drain and its associated complications.

In conclusion, the conspicuous rise of brain drain has dire consequences for the countries involved and will require a multifaceted approach that involves various stakeholders. I firmly believe that only through sustained focus on working conditions and incentivizing policies can we hope to reverse this unnerving trend and promote a better future for both professionals and their home nations.

Overall, the use of all three electrical appliances increased significantly while time spent on housework fell sharply, suggesting a strong link between appliance adoption and reduced domestic work.

In 1920, 40% of households owned a washing machine, followed closely by vacuum cleaner at 30%, while refrigerators were not yet in use in most households. However, in 1940, refrigerators witnessed a pronounced increase, rapidly climbing to 55% and exceeding the use of vacuum cleaners. This figure continued to grow consistently until it reached full adoption in 1980, after which it remained stable. Similarly, following a steady surge each year, vacuum cleaners levelled off in 2000 with full household ownership, whereas washing machines had yet to reach universal usage by 2019.

In terms of time dedicated to housework per household, including washing clothes, preparing meals, and cleaning, the number dropped significantly from 50 hours per week in 1920 to a modest 20 hours in 1960. After a consistent decline, the figure lost momentum but still edged down slowly, reaching merely 10 hours in 2019. This trend stood in stark contrast to rising appliance adoption, highlighting the impact of technology on reducing domestic workload.

Money may, in theory, seem like an appealing solution to the rising concerns a country faces; but it is not sufficient on its own to address deeper social or environmental challenges. In light of the growing demands placed on modern governments, views differ significantly on whether economic progress should be of paramount importance in their priorities or whether other types of progress are equally essential. This essay will analyze these contrasting perspectives before giving my opinion, which posits that the key lies not in relying on a hypothetically ‘fool-proof’ method, but rather in embracing a harmonious and balanced approach to multifaceted national development.

One compelling argument in favor of ultimately prioritizing economic progress, proponents argue, is that it serves as a foundation for other types of development, ranging from education, healthcare to infrastructure. Although money itself cannot resolve all existing problems of a nation, it undeniably provides the necessary resources and stability to address them effectively. With adequate funding, living standards can be enhanced significantly, as a growing economy not only contributes to job creation and career prospects but also enables broader access to social services. Added to this benefit is the pivotal role that money serves in tackling poverty and inequality. Economic development can lift many out of financial adversity through the diverse employment opportunities that it bolsters, helping the economy to cater to more people’s needs and sustain long-term growth. We can easily point to wealthy countries such as the United States to witness the impact of sustained economic progress – its robust job market, advanced technology, high standard of living as well as geopolitical power on the global stage are primarily a product of consistent economic investment and advancement. Given these unanimous advantages of economic progress, it is no wonder that many regard wealth as the major engine for long-term prosperity.

Conversely, skeptics maintain that putting excessive emphasis on economic advancement overshadows other equally vital areas of development. Despite being touted as a near-panacea for national issues, economic growth alone is nowhere near to guaranteeing social or environmental well-being. In fact, it is the sole fixation on the economy that has deprived many countries of balanced development, often at the expense of public welfare and ecological sustainability. In parallel with economic growth, social progress is a prerequisite for both an enduring and equitable society, as pressing issues like gender inequality, minority rights, or social welfare cannot be resolved by money alone. In order to achieve a long-lasting prosperous community, governments must also shift their focus to human development through reducing social inequalities, broadening access to crucial public services, as well as cultivating a fair and resilient society beyond material wealth. In reality, many affluent nations often fail to acknowledge the pressures on their workforce in the blind pursuit of money, with South Korea often cited as a prime example of a high-income country plagued by chronic stress, exhausting its working citizens. Without attempts to foster a healthy economy alongside a robust one, economic development does little to safeguard the mental well-being of citizens, since even the most valuable forms of labor will eventually reach a breaking point.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that while economic progress is indeed an efficient driver of national prosperity, its impact will remain superficial and short-lived without parallel development in other crucial areas. It is not about excessively fixating on a single pathway to success, but about fostering a well-rounded and inclusive model of progress that truly benefits society in the long run.
