Showrunner of Spartacus, said that he had felt as if the well had run dry but in the span of 10 years he had so many ideas that he felt as though he would die before sharing them all. 
He also said that if you chase your dreams, you'd achieve them, even if it wasn't in the time frame you had wanted.
