Hearts United lives out the principle of solidarity by standing with our homeless brothers and sisters and treating them with love and respect. We believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and valued, no matter their situation. Our mission reflects the Catholic Social Teaching principles of the Life and Dignity of the Human Person, the Option for the Poor and Vulnerable, and Call to Community and Participation. Through our work, we aim to build a society where no one is forgotten or left behind and we hope to help as many people in our communities as possible.

Who It Will Benefit

The main beneficiaries of Hearts United will be individuals and families who are currently experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their homes. Our work will also benefit the larger community by creating stronger, more compassionate neighborhoods where everyone has the chance to live with dignity and purpose.

How Objectives Will Be Reached

In order to provide shelter and basic needs, "Hearts United" will partner with local churches, schools, and volunteers to set up community shelters and donation centers. To reach our second goal, we will team up with professionals and volunteers to offer weekly job workshops, counseling services, and resume support. Finally, we will launch a campaign called "Walk in My Shoes", where students and local residents can hear personal stories, join awareness walks and learn ways they can help.

Our organization will provide temporary shelter, meals, and hygiene supplies to at least 500 individuals in our first year
Our organization offers free job training and mental health support to help people rebuild their lives.
We also educate communities on homelessness and encourage volunteer participation through local awareness campaigns

Problems Our Organization Focuses On

Homelessness is running rampant and continues to be a major issue all around the world. Many people lack access to safe and stable housing often due to job loss, mental illnesses, or family issues. In the U.S. alone there are more than 580,000 people who experience homelessness on any given night according to HUD. People without homes also struggle with hunger, illness, lack of access to healthcare, and being left out of society. This issue demands compassionate, creative and consistent solutions which is what our organization offers.
