We only know that he left, but we don't know why.

The author should give us more details about him, like how he was like, how he met Ada's mother, why he left and what kind of father would he be to Ada and Jamie.

Maybe he would have helped Ada, by supporting her, and not have treated her like her mother did. I belive that maybe if he were there, her mother would also treat Ada better, and Ada's life would havehelped Ada, by supporting her, and not have treated her like her mother did. I belive that maybe if he were there, her mother would also treat Ada better, and Ada's life would have been better within her family.

Suggestion made by: Florentina Boboutanu
 IX -A

The beautiful storytelling and vivid characters brought history to life in a way that was both heartfelt and inspiring.

Ada's journey of courage, resilience, and self-discovery resonated deeply with me. Ada’s story was so powerful and moving—it’s one of those rare books that stays with you long after you’ve turned the final page.

I was especially struck by Ada's resilience and determination in the face of so much adversity. Her growth and the relationships she built, particularly with Susan, felt so authentic and meaningful. You have a remarkable way of bringing your characters to life and weaving history into a deeply emotional narrative.

I am Stefan M., I am from Romania and here is what I will change. Also, some suggestions for the author of the book ''The war that saved my life"

If I were the author, I would make some changes, at least, at the beginning of the book:

The first change is character personality changing.

I'd introduce mercy to the children's biological mother, so that their mother find some mercy for Ada and not beat her as much as she did before. Because it is her child after all.

The second change is a solution for Ada's leg problem.

I imagine this solution to be voiced out during a small argument between Ada and her biological mother. The argument would be a peaceful one because Ada is afraid of her mother and doesn't wish to make the things worse. However, the argument would come to an end when Ada's mother, finally, calls a doctor home, to treat Ada, because she doesn't want to go outside with her daughter.

The third one is adding a dog pet to their house, so Ada can be distracted and not be so worried about Jamie. I find this change a good solution for Ada's insecurity and the fear of being alone.

I personally don't agree with the fact that Ada's mother behaves differently towards Ada and Jamie. So I considered adding those changes in order to make the book less aggressively towards Ada and give a more friendly manner, at least at the beginning.

The War That Saved My Life teaches valuable lessons about freedom and equality. For example, the challenges that refugees face in a new country could be explained more deeply. It would be interesting to learn more about the main character’s feelings and how he deals with his past.

Also, some parts of the story felt a bit too simple. It would be great if there were more conflict or surprises in the plot to make it even more exciting.

Ada's journey and self-discovery were quite touching. I greatly appreciated the balance the book showed in covering the effects of war and trauma, as well as the healing power of love and connection.

My suggestions are to give more space to Ada's inner world and emotional analyses. Maybe past memories can be added or scenes that can show us the traumas more clearly can be written. In this way, we can see his psychological development and recovery more clearly. Another suggestion I have is that war should be social, not individual.

You should write a follow-up book explaining its effects. I liked your book very much and I'm glad I was able to read it.”

It is better not to go into too much details about characters. The focus should be the main theme or the main scene in part. Extra characters should help the story, otherwise they're unnecessary. Also every dialogue should add something to the story. Plus, the book should be clearer with transitions between sections and events. But I have to say, it was a nice book.

The name of the book i read is The War That Saved My Life. The book could have ended differently. For example, Ada and Jamie had things they loved to do as children. Ada loved pony riding. Jamie, on the other hand, was interested in airplanes. The author could have mentioned that Ada and Jamie acquired these professions at the end of the book. He could have written that when they grew up, Ada became a horse rider and Jamie became a pilot.

My suggestions to writers for the book Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls are as follows:

They can accommodate more women. It would also be a good suggestion for young and rebellious girls to read about the legendary women of the nations. they can also talk about and advertise important women in life to reach a wider audience. I think the best thing for rebel girls who read the stories on the last pages of the book would be to share the "write your own story" pages and let the women read each other's stories. That's all my suggestions, I read the book and liked it very much, and I am very happy that the project provided this.

I want to talk about 'The war book that saved my life.' The narration was very good, but I think there could have been another section with information about the war. Thus, I think we can feel the atmosphere of war more easily in the book. And also about the 'Boy at the back off the class', I think there may have been a few questions about the chapters at the end of the book or at the end of the chapters. For example, how would you feel if you were in Ahmet's place?

I wrote a letter to the author of The Boy at the Back of the Class.

“Dear Onjali Q. Rauf,

I had the opportunity to read your book The Boy at the Back of the Class thanks to a project at my school. The book was really touching and thought-provoking. Ahmet's story impressed me very much. His fears, his loneliness, and his struggle to start a new life evoke something in each of us.

What I liked most about the book was how you explained friendship and empathy in such a beautiful and natural way. The bonds Ahmet forms with his classmates actually show what we can all do to help someone and be sensitive to the pain of others. The book tells about the best aspects of being human, the power of being together and how valuable differences actually are.

I was really touched when I read about Ahmet's experiences and the support of his friends who tried to help him. Your book is a wonderful tool for opening children's hearts and minds. It also shows adults how to be more empathetic and understanding towards life's challenges. In short, I liked her book very much and Ahmet's story impressed me very much.”

My suggestion for the author of the book The War That Saved My Life is to tell what happened after the war and where Ada and her brother live now. Otherwise, the book is very captivating🤗

I liked the story of the boy in the back class because it was written from a different perspective on a current human issue. For me, this story shows not only what authorities can do but also what we can do in such matters. And I think the book would have been better if Ahmet had joined the others to find his own family and we could see him contributing as well.

Hi! In the behalf of the Erasmus + project, i have read this book and i thoroughly enjoyed reading it because it highlighted women who have made a great difference for our world and unfortunately whose names have been forgotten.

So i would like to put forward a few suggestions, as i think it would be very interesting to include of women in a wider variety of fields, such as Amazonian women, gardeners, teachers, among others.

I think of the idea of posting the authors’ biographies with more information about themselves so that readers can find more about them would be a nice idea.

As a final suggestion, i think that including the authors’ journey in the acquisition of information about the extraordinary women featured in this book would be a great idea.

Thank you !
