A good way to implement this strategy in a health class is to pose the problem of drug addiction in the U.S. A sample question would be "Why do you think that there are so many people in the U.S. who have problems with addiction? This will lead to discussion that will be followed by research and new solutions proposed by the students.

This is a wonderful website with recommendations for apps that will assist students with project based learning. https://technologytoolsforteachers.com/2016/08/30/must-have-apps-for-project-based-learning/
I know I would use google sites to post resources for my students when they have research to do, this will cut down on the time it takes them to search.

When I taught in the classroom, I used the jigsaw model to guide the students in learning about mental illness. This method is great for covering a lot of material. The students worked cooperatively and got the information they needed. This website is a great resource to look at before trying to teach with the jigsaw model, it outlines the steps clearly and helps you give good directions to your students.

https://www.jigsaw.org

http://www.foodnme.com/smash-your-food/
This is a great interactive game to show students what is in their food. You get to pick a food and watch a hydraulic press smash it. Before the smashing, you guess how much sugar, salt, and oil is in the food. This game would be great to help the students check their understanding of a nutrition unit.
