honey bees are animals that give us fruit. honey bee population's are going down, that might end up with no strawberries, no pumpkin pie, no apples, god no watermelon! not the watermelon! they are dieing for 2 reason's, 1, human's are killing them, 2, mites. mites are small animals that live on honey bees. to many can kill a be. the mites can fit through the small spaces that bees can fit through. then they wait for a bee and then drop from the top of the wood cage and onto the bee. that happens to much they die. scientist's are trying to figure out away to prevent this from happening.

bee's have there hives inside of the cage so no bear or skunk can get in. the wood cage would be by an almond or apple farm so when they get out they can pollinate the apples. every time they go to a flower they accidentally leave a bit of pollen on the flower or apple tree, that pollinates the flower. most of the pollen is turned into honey at the hive. the honey is taken out or left in the hive to provide food for he winter when they cant get pollen from flower's.
