<title>In James Patterson&#39;s Treasure Hunters Professor Hingleburt is causing man V.S. man conflict. He is causing this conflict when he pretends to have found a new Bill of Rights ,but in his Bill of Rights the first amendment has been changed to say congress Shall make laws restricting America&#39;s freedoms. According to the text it says “his newly discovered Bill of Rights says congress Shall make laws restricting the freedom of the people” (Patterson 113). He is doing this because he thinks that “the founding fathers knew better than to give the ill-educated rabble so much freedom”(Patterson 115). This shows that he is causing man V.S. man conflict with the main characters.</title>

<title>The character&#39;s motivation is MONEY in the book treasure hunters by James Patterson. I know this because they are always looking for treasures to sell to museums for money. For example, according to the text, it states &quot;how much gold is that? A ton! I shouted&quot; (Patterson 194). This clearly shows that they are motivated by money/gold.</title>

<title>In the book, treasure hunters by James Patterson, the author, sets a stressful mood. For example, in chapter 23 they have to send Tommy somewhere else to a fake dig site so the bad guys will follow him instead while the rest of them can go to the real dig site and find the real treasure (Patterson chapter 23) This may not seem stressful but if you think about it there is a lot of pressure on Tommy to lose the bad guys. Also, it may seem stressful trying to figure out how to get rid of the bad guys. It is clear that there is a stressful mood.</title>

<title>One type of figurative language is an idiom because in chapter 2 when uncle Richie says bully for you he doesn&#39;t literally mean you are bullying someone. he is saying it to mean good for you.</title>

<title>In the book treasure hunters by James Patterson, he uses imagery when he says &quot; There were two tall muscular thuggish-looking men&quot;(Patterson 292) This is imagery because it is describing the two men.</title>

<title> In the book Treasure Hunters by James Patterson there uncle Richie ¨poppie¨ Lucio displays some internal characteristics of being VERY eccentric and displays a love of cards. He also thinks it is better to try and fail than to not try at all. He even states ¨It is far better to to dare mighty things and fail than to rank among the poor souls who neither enjoy or suffer because they live in a grey twilight that knows neither victory or defeat!¨(Patterson 57-58) This can be interpreted to mean that is better to try and fail than to never try.</title>

<title>I&#39;m going to use uncle Richie for this one because I can picture him very clearly. I imagine him as an old jolly man like Santa Claus minus the beard. He is also very short and squatty. I know this because the author tells us &quot;he was a swaggering blustery man who reminded me of Theodore Roosevelt&quot; (Patterson 58). It also shows a picture that can help me picture it in my mind.</title>

<title>James Patterson uses foreshadowing in the book Treasure Hunters. He uses this technique when The main characters parents say they are going to stay in D.C. and they are hiring his moms famous treasure hunting uncle to babysit them. The author even states that ¨he took me on my first dig site when I was really young” (Patterson 55) This shows that he likes to do exciting things and doesn&#39;t like to just sit around and babysit. From this information you can tell that something is going to happen and when the author implies that something will happen before it happens that is foreshadowing.</title>

<title>I think the theme of the book could be to choose your friends carefully. I think it could be this because they let someone come on their adventure who ends up being part of their enemy, and part of the group that is trying to change the bill of rights and steal their treasure. </title>
