I believe that for the 2018 Wisconsin senate race, Tammy Baldwin will defeat Leah Vukmir. From my research, Baldwin is favored in most public polls and election predictions. For example, as of Friday November 2nd in an Emerson poll, Baldwin has 53% support and Vukmir trails with 44%.
Additionally, Wisconsin has a relatively high opioid abuse rate, which Baldwin has been so vocal to address and reform. This and Baldwin's push for affordable healthcare gives her an advantage in my opinion.
From the other perspective, although Wisconsin is very centrist, it has a record of voting Republican slightly more. This is a plus for Vukmir, along with the fact that a greater percentage in the Marquette poll described themselves as Republican.
However, in the end, I feel that Baldwin has the majority support, and will therefore win.
