TARGET AUDIENCE: Preschool children with special needs
DURATION: 30-40 minutes
LEARNING OUTCOMES:

SECTION 1: LABYRINTH ADVENTURE

Preparation:

• Create a labyrinth using chairs, ropes, and cushions.

• Place a large plastic ball at the entrance of the labyrinth.

• Place emotional questions under wooden blocks.

Implementation:

• Children roll the ball through the labyrinth.

• They pick up a question card from under the blocks.

• They answer the question and express the emotion they feel (happy/sad).

SECTION 2: EMOTION VISUALS AND STORYBOARD

Preparation:

• Place "emotion" themed visuals (sun, cloud, heart, tears, etc.) on a table.

• Have a picture board (felt or magnetic board) ready.

Implementation:

• Each child selects a visual that corresponds to their feeling.

• The chosen visual is pasted onto the board.

SECTION 3: CREATING THE STORY

Implementation:

• After all visuals are placed on the board, the group forms a circle.

• The teacher/guide creates the story based on the order of the visuals.

• Interested children can verbally contribute to a part of the story.

Example Story Beginning: "One day, a happy sun met a sad cloud. The cloud said, 'I am always sad...'"

MATERIALS:

• Chairs, ropes, cushions (for the labyrinth)

• Plastic ball

• Wooden blocks

• Question cards containing emotions

• Visuals representing emotions

• Felt or magnetic board

• Music player (optional)

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

• Visuals and questions should be clear and simple.

• Environmental stimuli should be adjusted for children with sensory sensitivities.

• The duration and intensity should be flexible based on children's participation.

Emotions Maze/ Find the Way to the Fairytale

In the labyrinth created, children advance with a large ball and take the question papers fixed under the wooden blocks on the chairs and indicate whether they feel happy or sad according to the question asked. According to the emotional state they feel, they take the visuals on the table, place them on the picture board and create the fairytale.
