These mysteries of the new world encouraged exploration, and explorers took interest in the mounds. After researching the areas, they concluded that they were used for many things like housing the dead and small temples.</div>]]></description>

         <title>1493 CE - Columbus returns to the Bahamas</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In late 1493, Columbus sailed back to the Bahamas. As it turns out, none of the men that were  left had survived. They were all killed by the Native Americans for being abusing them. Many conflicts between Native Americans and Europeans followed, setting the standards of each other.</div>]]></description>

At around 500, the Sahara Desert was crossed by camelback, which made exploring the Desert and exploring other areas quicker.</div>]]></description>

The men left behind had treated the Native Americans very poorly and it was a very bad idea.
