Workshop Reflection 1: 2/26/21

Habang sinusulat ko 'to honestly inaantok na ako pero sige kaya ko naman, gusto ko na rin kasi i-clear desk ko. Honestly, I feel refreshed with the first session. I entered with the internal feeling of anxiety pero as the workshop went on I was starting to embrace how I wanted to explore and better myself so I can add my contributions not just to the artistic community but to the Philippines itself. Actually habang nagwoworkshop bigla akong nagkawriting prompt idea where I think puwede namin siya i-stage in a charity theatre org I initiated sa university. I made sure to write it in my "thought" notebook kasi ayun nga, I believe in the concept naman. Overall, I'm taking this new adventure and experience with an open heart.

Workshop Reflection 2: 2/28/21

So ayun, as much as I have an online e-numan session with my college barkada right after the workshop I decided na isulat muna 'tong reflection na 'to since madami rin akong natutunan and honestly medyo tired utak ko from all of it. There was a lot to do but I'm quite proud of myself na natawid ko 'yon lahat. I'm generally happy and satisfied, just anxious pa rin kasi I remember how second sem is going to happen, kasabay ng other productions isasabay ko rin 'tong workshop pero sige I tell myself kakayanin ko 'to one way or another. I feel like I can finally validate myself as a writer as I'm now learning. Thank you for that!

Workshop Reflection 3: 3/5/21

Omg I'm really sorry, so basically I left the workshop early because the production team in for Cinemalaya contacted each other and called for an emergency company call at 8:30 AM. Akala namin na hindi napasa yung film entry namin yun naman pala it's a prank NAKAKAINIS. By the time na natapos yung call, tapos na rin naman na yung work shop so hindi na ako nakabalik. Anyway, about the last session medyo hesitant pa ako nung una kasi super stressed out ako. I was having a lot of student stress baggage but I was glad na I was able to go through it even in that mental state. It was just my anxiety provoking me anyway so ayun I knew and recognized how to fight it. I liked last session kasi it was really about script progression and connecting to your root as writer in order to find the perfect flow. Ayun, I think that's all I have to say.

Workshop Reflection (3/7/21)

So, I realize now that I forgot about this from how busy the work load is for me so I apologize for that! Recalling how I felt last Sunday, that was actually a day where I was thinking if I wanted to skip kasi I was really feeling burnt out. Sabi ko naman ayokong masayang yung oras kasi second to the last session na lang so konting buga na lang therefore I attended but decided to keep quiet just so I can save my energy. It was refreshing thought when I was assigned (or should I say, called out) to act kasi grabe parang kinailangan ko patunayan bigla na theatre course ako HAHAHAHA tipong di ako fraud ganun HAHAHA I don't know as well pero it was super fun to see kuya Roy act. From your formal tech person/secretariat to your versatile actor of commitment (di ko makalimutan bandana moment niya). Anyway, I generally enjoyed and learned naman. Kinda looking kung sakali bang may level 2 ang intro to writing for performance uwu

Workshop Reflection (3/12/21)

So ayun, ang late ko na sorry huhu pero ayun for my last reflection about the workshop I guess all I have to say is that ang saya ko lang talaga. Ang saya na parang nakilala ko na craft ko sa writing, I mean kilala ko naman na noon pa sadyang I didn't know what to do with that potential. Now that I do now how to manage it though, alam ko na what are the next steps to do and I believe I can do better now for the future original theatre scripts that I'll be making. As a composer nga this workshop has also heavily helped me. Sobrang tumatak yung sa akin yung dapat every line should progress the story. Tumatak rin yung art is never gone, it's only forgotten. Honestly, hindi ko alam paano ko ieexpress sentiments ko into words but all I know is I'm super grateful. Skl din na pangarap ko bumalik sa PETA to do workshops and hopefully work there so ayun- I'm gonna stick with that ambition of mine <3 I came in as an anxious writer, and yes I'm still anxious (kasi virgo ako HAHAHAHA) pero now I know that to do.
