Indeed, when you arrive at a pub not far from Pinnock Bridge and ask for directions, people almost instantly tell you about the ghost of the Watercress Woman. 
Moreover, this small isolated village is in appearance quiet during the day: the environment does not appear at all scary with its pretty farmlands, its bridge full of ivy and the village itself is really pretty. But at night the atmosphere changes and Pluckley becomes a paradise for ghost hunters because of his many ghost stories. For example there is the ghost of a highwayman who was run through with a sword and appears as a shadowy figure. 
Finally, if you are still not convinced, Pluckley is in the Guinness World Records as the most haunted town in England with between 12 and 16 ghosts. There is a lot to be frightened about!

Therefore it gave her goosebumps, because she wondered if it was real what she had just seen. Moreover, the sound of hooves echoed in the city and she was so afraid that she was taken by panic.

Sarah didn't know if they were real, but she felt the vibrations of the horses' hooves throughout her body. The noise was so loud that it echoed through the city. She was completely frightened and panic-stricken.

But don't be fooled by appearances: this village, a gathering place for ghosts, is still a place that can scare more than one person.
Indeed, according to the Guiness World Records, in 1989, between 12 and 16 ghosts have been reported in the area.
For example, there is the famous highwayman with a sword through him, or the old woman who smokes her pipe and drinks gin while selling her watercress.

And a lots of sailors were murdered and bury their and we can sometimes see them wandering and looking for their treasures

You can go to the Shadowy bridge who have a lot of ivy where the woman with her pipe come.
If you are a ghosts hunter, if you want to be spooked and if you want to see ghosts, it's where you must to go !

Indeed, as Francesca Hoyles said, when looking for directions to Pinnock Bridge you could encounter a local person and they would already know what you are looking for. This says a lot about Pluckley's reputation since this village was actually nominated as the most haunted one in the Guiness World Record of 1989.
In addition, there are many stories about 12 to 16 ghosts such as a screaming man or an old woman drinking and smoking.
