Pelayo in the story is just a villager in the town who is living in poverty until the old man with wings comes, and then Pelayo exploits him for money. Pelayo's development throughout the story is that at the beginning of the story, he is a hardworking man who seems to be a good person but once they see that they can use the Old man for money he and his wife

Elisenda has a shift in their morale, for Pelayo he is flat and static because his character has a super basic motivation.

Elisenda is the mother of the family and at the beginning of the story we don't know too much about her personality. Still, as the story progresses we see how the money changes her. She starts being materialistic and buying expensive things, for Elisendas character I would say she has a flat character as we do not really see much into her character besides the fact that she wanted out of poverty.

Very Old Man with Enormous Wings - has this kind of mysterious vibe going on where he just appears out of nowhere he doesn't talk and no one can figure much of anything out about him, everyone's seems to have their speculations of where he had came from or what he was but nothing was ever confirmed, i would say his character i overall static since we see situations going on around him but nothing happens to his characters development.
