EdPuzzle is an interactive platform that uses videos to engage students. Once teachers select a video they want to share with their class, they can use the EdPuzzle Video editor to add stopping points to ask questions, cut sections, and even record voice overs. Once finished, the teacher can assign the EdPuzzle to the class to complete. EdPuzzle will track the analytics and data for the teacher to view.

Teachers can create and assign up to 20 EdPuzzle's for free. Teachers can create an EdPuzzle for any of the millions of videos available on YouTube, National Geographic, Khan Academy, TedTalks, and more. Additionally, teachers can search and assign EdPuzzles previously created by other teachers. EdPuzzle allows the teacher to prevent video skipping. In addition, teachers can check for comprehension based on students progress. EdPuzzle provides analytics that share who still needs to watch the video, how much the students have watched, students individual responses, and their total score. Since it is an online resource, it can be used for virtual or in person learning.

Teachers are limited to 20 free EdPuzzles. If they want to create more than 20 EdPuzzles and the school or district does not have subscription, the teacher will be forced to pay out of pocket if desired. Additionally, EdPuzzle does not give group access on videos, just individual, which would make it difficult for teachers to use this resource to differentiate material.

I could use this resource for in person or virtual learning. For in person learning, I could set up computers a station in my classroom and assign my class an EdPuzzle. As students rotate around the centers, they can complete the EdPuzzle I have assigned related to what we are learning that week. I could also use it as an assignment for virtual students. During class, I could give my students time to watch and respond to an EdPuzzle related to the content we are currently learning. In both of these scenarios, I could get some data on my students comprehension of the material.
